It’s a longer recap, but a much lower pain level. Good luck. -

Had a reverse should replacement the end of January. Still in PT but much easier than my rotator cuff repair on the same shoulder. Hang in there. Jim - QVC was my fav place to roam. Amazing works of art. And yes, the clocks were fascinating. -

I second that driverless car thing. Humans need to drive vehicles. -

Have a safe flight, guys. Will be following too, as usual. Also found some new authors to read…..mystery reader, too. Can’t wait to met you both on Silly in November. -

Once a day cabin service - did I miss something?
alfiemom replied to Honolulu Blue's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We’ve opted for “go green” on our last several cruises. Cabin is cleaned throughly once a day and refreshed (clean towels if needed, curtains drawn, lights lowered) in the evening. Works fine for us and any extra points are welcome. -
Alway the hump. The long walk isn’t appealing.

Got off of Silly after the this years TA. This was our third consecutive cruise on her. Yes, the shows were the same as many of the past sailings, including some of the solo acts. However, the singers and dancers often are different, which changes the quality of the shows. The group on the TA were the best we’ve seen and heard in many, many years. DH even said the singers were fabulous which is really something for him.

The Silly Oct TA had it on the children’s menu. It was better than what was on the “grown up” menu.

One thing I learned many years ago, was that some mag hooks aren’t strong enough to hold things. Guess there might be stronger hooks now. I use the non-mag ones with the sticky stuff you can put on the back. Pulls right off when packing.

Has always been a $200 discount for us for years. It’s not cruise specific.

The deck plans are not to scale, just drawings. -

Broadway Cabernet songs the same for all ships?
alfiemom replied to fstuff1's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Just off Silhouette TA. The Broadway show had all 6 singers. It was a relatively short show…under 40 minutes. However, these were the best singers were have heard in all our X years. -

Just off Silly…..beware of pork dishes unless you bring a big knife. I, too, really enjoyed the flank steak. I always enjoy the snails and onion soup, but am now finding that those 2 items combined with a salad constitute dinner. There 3 of us on the cruise and hubby ordered the lobster tail on the regular menu the second to last night of the cruise. Waiter told him he’d throw a second one on the plate…no charge. Then my daughter and I had the flank with a tail. So he ended up with 4. He was happy although, as said many times before, they were just “okay”. As far as Ocean View, food was good! There was quite a bit of variety when ever we went for dinner. Murano was first night (or second if you’ve read about our cruise). Great as usual. The LCG steak was fabulous. okay, I’ll say it….we don’t cruise for food, specifically, and never went hungry. -
Just checked the Silly TA menus….not exciting! DH usually orders 2 shrimp cocktails for an appetizer when we eat on MDR. I would suspect that even though they aren’t on the appetizer menu for each day, they can still be ordered. Any thoughts on that?

Extra bag of laundry and coffee/tea get me excited. To each his own.
