No casino until 8am tomorrow morning

Yup, casino does not open until ship is truly out at sea.  We've been on sailings out of Baltimore when it opens anywhere between 10 or 11 pm.

If you weren't out at sea until well after midnight then they keep it closed until the next morning.

Always a Bummer for us as we miss the casino on night 1 and our free Prime drinks.

I don’t think I have seen these before.  Something new on the amenities list?

I can see them being able to launder the complimentary robes to use again, but slippers??

I could use a pair of those for my trips to Walmart. 😉

I figured it was an amenity gift thing.  They would be perfect for a wal mart visit.

Who knows this may be another cutback - plan to launder the left behind slippers and re package ??  😱 Can’t believe I would say such a thing!  JK

Yes that would be a bummer on the free prime drinks.

There’s a little over 2300 onboard.  Very few kids.

Impressions of Vision so far are good.  I do not find that it is too small.  It doesn’t FEEL small.  Lots of windows and open spaces. While it’s one of Royals smallest ships it is actually still considered a large ship by normal standards.

Crew has been wonderful and very cheery for the most part.  That’s a big positive for us.

I haven’t really run into anything that it doesn’t have yet that’s a dealbreaker.  I think if you love bells and whistles of O and Q class you probably feel differently than me. Or if you’re a flow rider person you’d be out of luck here.

Most importantly how is the Schooner Bar? Is It located I would think forward on deck 6?

How is your JS?  Have you stayed in a JS in a larger class such that you can compare?

I plan to get some cabin pics posted soon.  It’s similar size to a JS on Voyager class.  I think it’s a bit smaller in the bathroom or at least it feels smaller than usual to me in terms of counter space.  It doesn’t have the huge walk in closet but still has a good size closet.

Balcony has a lounger, 2 chairs and small table.

We typically stay in a JS or higher.

Actually deck 6 aft.  Obviously one of my main hangouts.

I like the enchanted lounge space too.  Feels Very similar to Jewel/Radiance.

Let me know how you like the cocktails there.

I have been sticking to basics.. Tito’s/water or Bourbon neat or ginger ale  mostly.

DW had a few old fashioned that were decent.  Toasted Marshmallow OF she said was good but was dissappointed they didn’t garnish with the toasted marshmallows like they had before.

She also enjoyed the coconut tito’s mojito from solarium bar.

Following because I'm looking at Vision for next year. I don't like  flying, especially the cost. I can do Amtrak for $34 roundtrip. The thing about these smaller ships is  I don't like  the games, etc being in the Centrum, everyone crowding around the railings to see what's going on. Give me a comfortable seat in the lounge any day. I'm curious to see what you think of it. Happy sailing!

I thought that was the whole point of the toasted marshmallow old fashioned. The garnish is the main attraction. Really weak of them to not put it on.

I always thought the schooner bar from my cruises were one level up from the Royal Theater on ships like Explorer, Adventure, and Liberty. I know on Oasis class it’s more aft. So is this class of ships all have the SB aft?

I know right ! Disappointing.  Worst part is he was the one who suggested that drink.  It still tasted good.

Grandeur SB location is the same.  Not sure about Enchantment.

I am straying away from flying too.

They definitely hold a lot of activities in the centrum that attracts passers by to stop at the railing.

Always good to meet fellow Pittsburghers!  One of my buddies goes to Dunedin a lot for work.

Me too! I'm born & raised in Penn Hills. Moved to Hollywood, FL in 1996 after graduating from IUP. I love your reviews and know I can always trust what you say! Let's see what Mr. Russell Wilson has left in him.

On Indy during spring break, they toasted the marshmallows the first night and then never again but they were still there.
