Newbie Questions

Hi All….We are experienced NCL Haven cruisers who will be first time Celebrity Retreat cruisers. We are booked on the Apex in a Sky Suite for a Caribbean cruise.

Any tips and info would be greatly appreciated but here are a few questions that I have:

1. Is there a strict dress code for dinner? If so, what does that look like? Are men required to where long pants or can they get away with a nice pair of shorts and golf shirt?

2. We have the Premium Beverage package and streaming wifi….what does that mean exactly? Can the beverage package be used anywhere on the ship or just in the Retreat? What does streaming wifi get us?

3. Will we be getting an assigned dining time or can we show up anytime for dinner?

4. Can OBC be used for daily gratuities?

5. Assuming we have a butler, are they separate from the daily gratuities that the rest are a part of?

Thanks in advance. We are excited to give Celebrity a try!

1. Men must wear long pants.

2. Drink package good around ship. Streaming means you can theoretically stream shows from your phone/device (uses more bandwidth).

3. Anytime. Luminae doesn't take reservations.

4. Yes

5. No

Long pants for dinners in the restaurants &!specialty restaurants. Luminae is your assigned dining room, no reservations, only for suite guests. Beverage package is throughout the ship. No free laundry in a sky suite. Your daily gratuities include your butler (however we do give extra). OBC can be used for everything except booking another cruise. Enjoy your first Celebrity cruise

no.  The fact that you are asking if they can “get away with” them indicates you already suspect that they can’t and you are right.  If men show up at Luminate in shorts, they will be asked to go back and change into slacks.

Anywhere on the ship

You may see reference to an assigned dining time on your documents, but Lumina is all open seating

retreat guests pay a higher amount in daily gratuities in order to cover the butler.

Another question…do Retreat guests get free laundry?

No with the exception of Royal Suite and above.   If you are a Captain's Club Member  Elite get one free bag of wash and fold Elite+ Two free bags of wash and Fold and Zenith have unlimited laundry and dry cleaning.
