mhkcdk Posted September 11 #1 Share Posted September 11 Ropes course is being disassembled. Scaffolding still in place for additional work. I suspect we will see more work beginning starting with extended stay in Southampton before start of TA.
beg3yrs Posted September 11 #2 Share Posted September 11 Not a bad time to get all the small fiddly stuff taken down. Anything that can be removed with wrench, socket set or screwdrivers should be relatively simple to disassemble and box up for return to the vendor. The big stuff requiring heavy equipment will have to wait. 1) Is the track still open during this process? 2) What's on the low seats in the photos? They look like some kind of loudspeaker to me. antsp Posted September 12 #6 Share Posted September 12 My guess is Princess wants this gone before the ship arrives in the USA on October 9th, shipn has a 4 day media press cruise so it needs to be gone for that.
Rare CruzerDeb Posted September 12 #7 Share Posted September 12 I guess I missed it - why are they getting rid of this area? What is replacing it?

The ride didn't function mechanically while the ship was at sea. 2 1

peder Posted September 12 #10 Share Posted September 12 Simple enough change, but I suspect they'll do something more on the Star Princess given the longer runway they have before it launches
mhkcdk Posted September 21 Author #11 Share Posted September 21 Major deconstruction is ongoing. The entire area has been blocked off for nearly a week. The roller glider infrastructure is being completely removed. I expect it will be completely gone by the time we get to Ft. Lauderdale
