Only higher suites get an escort. So many have posted boarding at 11, but we have done Retreat from PC several times and never boarded before about 11:20. No biggie as I enjoy the lounge, but I wonder at the discrepancy.

For our two Celebrity trips in suites, the first was a transpacific in a Celebrity Suite on Millennium. We were met by the Captain’s Club representative and escorted onto the ship to Michael’s Club, as the rooms were not yet ready.

The second was in a Sky Suite on Solstice, when we were given priority check-in and boarding, but no escort.

For comparison, in the lowest level suite on NCL (two trips) we received an escort onto the ship. For the both categories of suite on Cunard (Princess and Queens Grill), there was a priority for check-in and boarding, but no escort. No further suite experiences, so I can’t speak for any other lines.

EDIT: Forgot we did an Oceania Penthouse Suite. We were lucky to just get on board after the fiasco that was the Miami terminal. Pretty much ignored throughout the process.

I think its different in Puerto Rico.  We got our email from the land based concierge and it said boarding started at 3, but the app has us boarding at 11.  Anyone know what the real time to start boarding is?  The ship gets in at 630am which is pretty typical for a FL based port so im not sure why 3 would be the boarding time.

thx

Where is the ship coming from just ahead of porting in Puerto Rico?  While 3pm is a bit excessive, if this is the ship's first landfall in the U.S., and while it shouldn't cause boarding delays, there are additional procedures by a couple of governmental agencies that take place under those circumstances.  If the previous cruise started out at a U.S. port, then one would imagine the SSC is just plain mistaken.  The two cruises we've taken out of P.R. have not had such late boarding times - but they weren't arriving from a foreign port, either.

the cruise before ours is the same itinerary. Depart and arrive in San Juan.  So hopefully shes just mistaken because or hotel checkout is 12 and i was hoping to drop off our luggage before we ventured back out to old san juan.  thx
