Does extra night on ship equal extra cruise point?

Yes. Both my Liberty 7 in to a 12 (Hurricane Harvey) and my Serenade 16 into a 17 (Hurricane Dorian) they gave the extra points for the extra days. In both cases, I had to call C&A, and explain the situation. If whoever you talk to the first time you call says otherwise, just call again the next day and talk to someone different.

Celebrity offers points simply from watching some of the podcasts in which the President has a q&a with loyalty Ambassador. Wonder why Royal doesn’t offer the same 🤣. That’s a way of earning a point without sailing.

Celebrity can be a lot more generous handing out a couple of free points since you need so many more points

To advance one level after select you need 150 points which at 2 points per night for insides and OV would be the equivalent of 75 points or Diamond on Royal.  Even balconies only get 3 points per night.  The only ones that benefit are suites.

I was on the  cruise and was told that we would only receive the  points associated with the original cruise. If they provide an additional point, don’t they have to give it to everyone, not just those who contact C&A. Or, I guess I’ll give them a call, after they deal with port issues/itinerary changes this week.

Not related to the extra point, but to make matters worse, and certainly understandable  the  itinerary was changed the night before the cruise from Cozumel/Costa Maya to Freeport/Nassau.

The extra day was sort of a waste as we were prepared to leave about noon, then early evening, then finally the next day. In fact, they even closed the pool and the shops and casino were closed. (Shop went a bit further and shops/casino were opened ) Most had packed their swimsuits. In luggage. And, those  who put their luggage out the night prior had to wear the same clothes for two days.

We were so happy to get the go ahead to enter the channel and had a departure beginning at noon. (Again just sitting around waiting. ).

I’ll take the point if provided.

I do those but in Reality, I’m now considered an “Elite Plus” with Celebrity, so now I just do it for fun.

Same here. Something for nothing, why not. I don't watch the webinars. I just sign in, walk away and return later. 😁 So far for 2024 there has only been 4 PUP activities.

Ditto here.  I do it for fun and sometimes get ideas of what may affect Royal.  A few podcasts ago, the President was talking that due to the many complaints Celebrity would revert back to the original menu.  I said to myself, maybe Royal will follow.  Sadly, Royal made no changes and stayed with the present limited menu.

Ps.  I don't sail Celebrity because my D+ would not get me equivalent benefits and can't confirm if what she said happened.

I was on Majesty for B2B five-day cruises during Hurricane Dorian.

The 5-and-5 was changed to a 7-and-3.  They gave me 7 points for the first cruise and 5 points for the second cruise for a total of 12 points for 10 nights, and I was solo so I actually received 24 points total.

We had one of our 7 night cruises return to port 1 day early to to an outbreak...Also canceled all but one port...We got the full 7 points AND...the cost of the cruise was credited back to us.

You just reminded me of a sail on Liberty some years ago, where we had to cut our sail after 3 days as our daughter was rushed to the hospital.  Thank God the next day's top was in San Juan as we were able to get a flight ASAP.  We got credited with the entire 7 nights and can't remember if we got partial refunds,

Of note at this sail, we were approached by a staff officer, while walking off our dinner, inquiring if we wanted to dine with the Captain the following night. Minor disappointed and was the only time ever invited.😆

We were also on that Serenade cruise, and received the extra point without having to call or otherwise contact RC.
