Johnny Rockets???

Your SeaPass with the sticker...they'll honor it with no questions....We did, 3 times, 2 weeks ago. In fact, the waiter brought the pop in glasses so he wouldn't have to re-fill the soda-package cup a bunch of times during the meal....

Make sure you stay long enough to see the waiters dance....it's worth the cover charge

Johnny Rockets

Currently Royal Caribbean has Johnny Rocket diners on the following ships.

Voyager of the Seas

Explorer of the Seas

Adventure of the Seas

Navigator of the Seas

Mariner of the Seas

Sovereign of the Seas

Majesty of the Seas

Freedom of the Seas

Liberty of the Seas

There is a cover charge of $3.95 per person regardless if you dine in or take out. Beverages such as soft drinks and shakes are extra. Those who dine in can order any amount of food. Take out orders are limited to one each of the following. Sandwich/burger, French Fries, Onion Rings and dessert per person/cover charge.

Crown and Anchor members receive one coupon per book for the $3.95 cover charge. Beverages are extra. The $3.95 cover charge does includes tip but you can tip an additonal amount if you like. The charge goes onto your Sea Pass card.

Johnny Rockets hours vary depending on embarkation day, sea day and port days. Check your Cruise Compass for hours each day.

The menu has basic items such as hamburgers, cheeseburgers, grilled ham and cheese, grilled chicken BLT, chili, chili dogs, hot dogs, chili fries, onion rings, apple pie ala mode, Oreo Sundae and shakes.

Some folks lose far, far more than the cost of a Johnny Rockets' meal in the Casino. Some spend far more than the cost of a JR meal on alcohol. Or spend huge bucks in the spa. Some choose to stay in a big suite rather than a simple OV or Inside stateroom. Or they pay for special classes in the gym when the weights and weight machines, treadmills, etc are free.

On a seven day cruise, it is nice to have the JR option. Who wants to eat in the dining room three times a day every day on a seven day cruise for example? It is all in what you want to do with your money.

Plus there is no telling what these same folks are doing on land with their money. Their choices for the use of their money may make even less sense than $3.75 at Johnny Rockets.

I am sorry but it simply amazes me.

People pay thousands of dollars to take a cruise with fine food options but instead go pay extra to eat at a hamburger joint on the cruise vessel.:D :D

Sometimes you just need something greasy, especially after a long day in port with a couple of alcoholic beverages and a lot of sun :D

The charge is outrageous and RCI should go back to JR being included.

The one coupon you get is insulting.

Your opinion and that's fine but there are enough of us that like it the way that it is. No kids or crowds to deal with. It's obvious that the small surcharge is working as they continue to add JR's to their fleet.

That is what my post stated. The other area was referring to what was on the menu.

There were never any kids or crowds when it was included. Guess people just feel special when there is a surcharge. Maybe they feel like they are getting more by paying extra than when it was included.

I guess all the reviews that I read on here back when there was no surcharge were all lies.

Agreed, in fact we sailed on the Navigator right after they implemented the charge. We had a great experience compared to those who sailed before and complained about the number of teens AND wasted food.

Never had one. I usually fill up on fries and onion rings and do not want dessert.:)

Me too :D I made an a@@ out of myself the first time I went to the JR's here in AZ. I thought the fries and onion rings were always included, they are not :D
