What did you do to celebrate your 1000th ?

Hurray....this is my 1000th post on CC...

[ apart from the 920 or so that do not count on float away lounge]

and about 14 and 3/4 were actually worth reading. :rolleyes: I wanted to celebrate it somehow, and wondered if anyone had found a way to do theirs, or maybe had not even noticed when they did.

Congratulations Jennie on your 1000th plus post! You are a busy one aren't you? I think many more that 14 3/4 are worth reading, but you know I have an odd sense of humor --lol. At first I was wondering if you were asking people about their 1000th cruise. There have been some long-time cruisers on a few of my cruises, but I have not heard 1000 yet. Hey though, if you count riding ferries as cruising (definitely not the same) I am sure I've had more than 1000.

I did not do anything to celebrate any of my posting milestones. I know that those of us who have been around a few years got to see all of our totals start over at 1 when they reconfigured the boards.

 

By looking at my totals, I see that I've been posting an average of 1.33 posts per day. You've been doing 2.12. You'll catch up with me in a couple of years. My posting goes in cycles. Lately, I've been doing a few each week. When we have a cruise booked, it goes up a lot.

Earthworm Jim...love the worm..I would pinch him and use him myself, but I am already up to my limit of animation allowed by CC :D .

When I knew him [ which was before he started to write ] , Will Shakespeare spoke exactly like he later wrote. He mumbled..so he was hard to understand...he went on and on...very wordy...and to be honest I usually fell asleep when he started rambling on. ! :rolleyes:

Gbphipps....Thank you too....and.... Yes, you can count ferries in your cruise count , but only certain ones. I think they have to have a theatre, a ballroom , a jacuzzi and a casino .;)

Teedee....You also I thank.....and I totally agree !! I have just booked a 6 mth long cruise in the penthouse Suite on the Queen Mary 2 and told my husband " Teedee told me I could " ......[ I wish :D ]

Ferries with a casino, ballroom, jacuzzi and casino mostly only exist in my mind as I go back and forth to the mainland. With those standards, however, I can count the 2 round trips from Portland to Nova Scotia on the Scotia Prince (overnight ferry). lol

Believe it or not, I saw at least one person who had a ferry listed. I've been on that ferry and I can GAR-RONE-TEEE it doesn't qualify as sailing. Talk about artificial inflation.:D :p :D

I agree. I have been on a lot of ferries and even one freighter and believe me, they were not cruises -- especially the frieghter we took on the St. Lawrence -- was very glad to get off the ship (with our little car).
