mattR Posted October 22, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2004 What time would be best to book Pinnacle for the first night of our E. Car cruise on the Zuiderdam. Not to early to miss sail away but not too late so that we miss the welcome aboard show?
DaveOKC Posted October 22, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2004 I just booked our 1st night meal to coincide with the first seating of late dining (8 PM) on our cruise. That way we do not miss the sail away, the Neptune Lounge welcome cocktail party or the late entertainment.
jollycruiser Posted October 22, 2004 #3 Share Posted October 22, 2004 What time is the Neptune lounge party? We have booked our first S suite and are doing the Pinnicle first night.
DaveOKC Posted October 22, 2004 #4 Share Posted October 22, 2004 Jolly - I cannot remember the exact time, but I remember that we had an 8 PM reservation at Pinnacle last time and had to leave before it was over, so I am guessing it must have been about 7 PM. doone Posted October 22, 2004 #5 Share Posted October 22, 2004 I found that the service in the Pinnacle is a bit slower than the dining room. We enjoyed the slower service and the chance to relax in between courses. I had heard that's part of the ambiance of the Pinnacle.
bepsf Posted October 22, 2004 #6 Share Posted October 22, 2004 I prefer a late dinner anyway, so 8pm is perfect for me. Plus, the staff is very accomodating to adding people to your table for dinner (folks you've met at sailaway, fellow CC'ers, etc.)
mattR Posted October 22, 2004 Author #7 Share Posted October 22, 2004 Do you have to request a table for two if you don't want to sit with others in the Pinnacle?
bepsf Posted October 23, 2004 #8 Share Posted October 23, 2004 Do you have to request a table for two if you don't want to sit with others in the Pinnacle? The Pinnacle staff don't seat you with others as is the custom in the main dining room. If your reservation is for two, it's a table reserved just for you... dot73 Posted October 23, 2004 #9 Share Posted October 23, 2004 If you are a single traveller, can you ask to be seated with other single travellers at the Pinnacle?
Mark1513 Posted October 23, 2004 #10 Share Posted October 23, 2004 OK. Now we have the starting time for the first night Neptune Lounge party. How long does it last? I have a tenative Pinnacle reservation for 6:30 the first evening.
mattR Posted October 23, 2004 Author #11 Share Posted October 23, 2004 So the main show is after dinner for both sittings? Nothing extra going on for non-suite guests btw 6-8pm?
cruisinjudy Posted October 23, 2004 #12 Share Posted October 23, 2004 The reservation time you request ahead of time may night be the time you actually get when you board the ship. Both times we have made reservations in advance for the first night it was changed and we were notified by a card in our room upon boarding.
