Sue's Mom Posted September 23, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2008 and what is it like please? I am hoping not to have to pack my own. ;)
sail7seas Posted September 23, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2008 Yes. HAL provides wonderful Elemis products in all cabins. They provide us with shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, bath soap, face soap and moisturizer. I really like the Elemis products. They are in the nice travel size packages and will be replaced by your steward if you use up something.

RuthC Posted September 23, 2008 #5 Share Posted September 23, 2008 Are all these products provided in the VA cabins? The products are identical in all the cabins on all the ships. And I agree with sail, they are lovely to use.

DCL uses these in the spa but H2O products for the cabins. Don't want to pack anymore than needed.
jhannah Posted September 24, 2008 #7 Share Posted September 24, 2008 There is a bottle of shampoo in my shower right now! What a wonderful memory-triggering aroma it has.

What a wonderful memory-triggering aroma it has. I like to pickup a new perfume scent while cruising. When I'm down or just blue from missing the cruise I spritz some on for a woderful pickme up :D

DrTee Posted October 6, 2008 #15 Share Posted October 6, 2008 One thing HAL needs to do is have larger bottles made up. Since their cruises are at least a week long, they could have bottles that contain a week's worth of the product, so that those tiny bottles don't all end up in the landfill and have to be replenished every day. On the other hand, a week's worth may be a different quantity for different passengers ... and could prove to be wasteful if the steward needed to dispose of partial bottles at cruise-end. Even more wasteful would be the steward having to replace the toiletries with full larger-than-now bottles a day or two before disembarkation ... then dispose of near-full bottles. Prada Cowboy Posted October 7, 2008 #17 Share Posted October 7, 2008 If you have color treated, permed or just naturally dry brittle hair or curley..... take your own conditioner! The Elemis Conidtioner is good, but for a week in the sun and ocean water and air not enough!!! One of my friends cryed out loud...since she had colored hair and it was frizzzzzzy, since the conditioner was not strong enough! Who want's FRIZZZZZZZZZZZ on a cruise....????!!!??? The rest of the products are really ok to use and better then propably most have at home!;)
mamma0233 Posted October 7, 2008 #18 Share Posted October 7, 2008 I had decided not to haul my stuff with me (except for the spf 100 conditioner I add on for sun damage) after reading the other posts. Since I have, and pay dearly for, colored hair...grey....what grey...who, me, GREY! I'll bring my conditioner. Brought all the bottles back from our last cruise to donate to our local food bank, but we were driving not flying and the weight restrictions are killing me! Thanks again! kalliekae Posted October 7, 2008 #19 Share Posted October 7, 2008 I have coarse, color treated hair and still found the Elemis conditioner to be of excellent quality. I use it at home, too.

I had just had my hair permed before our cruise and HALS shampoo and conditioner both caused mine to frizz something AWFUL. My curling iron didn't even want to touch it it was so dry. Luckily I had brought my shampoo and conditioner in trial size bottles. ;) Now my husband really loved the shampoo and all the other stuff. It took almost the full week to get my hair back under control. :o
Himself Posted October 7, 2008 #21 Share Posted October 7, 2008 I never bring shampoo and my hair is washed daily. Never looks greesy because HAL supplies. Question: Shall I grow a beard on the next cruise?
