I booked HAL Koningsdam outside gty for Oct12,2017.

 

They charged a 50% supplement instead of the 75% on other bookings. This is the price for their solo cabin of which there are 12 by my count.

It would be better to fly into Hobby Airport which is closer than Bush International. A taxi is approx. $60 but Uber should be cheaper.

 

One other option would be to check the Roll Call to see if you can share ride with other cruisers.

As a solo (or even with someone) it may be easier to just book the ship transportation. That way if you hit the famous Houston traffic you will not have to worry as you are in the cruiseline's hands.
