I've been wondering if Mysticks has been told not to update it or if she's simply too busy (which is certainly possible).

I don't blame her for not updating...it's a lot of work!

She hasn't updated since she left on her crusie on this ship. IMHO, she got back and went on to other things; why up date it when you have already sailed ***** the ship.

Deck - 11

Cabin # - 1638

Class – Aqua

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Bath

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) Very Quiet, great location (we actually opened up the balconies between three of the cabins by having the dividers removed by the Cabin Attendant)

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. Good View

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? Normal

Was wind a problem? No - The overhang was not an issue and actually very nice on rainy or sunny days. Overhang support to the right of our balcony but did not interfere at all with view. (We did open up the divider between 1636, 1638 and 1640, however the support between 1638 and 1640 does get in the way of moving from one balcony to another. The view is definitely improved though.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? n/a

Any specific problems with this cabin? None at all.

Any other comments? This cabin was very quiet. My only comment is that the Aqua Class cabins have very sparse storage, IMHO. Pack carefully, especially for a cruise over 7 nights!

With many looking for information on specific cabins on Solstice I thought it might be good to have a form of sorts for everyone to post basic information on each cabin that is easily read and searchable.

Hopefully if future cruisers will cooperate we can eventually obtain information on most every cabin and possibly get it as a sticky. Below is the information that I have noticed many wanting to know about the cabins. Please add any pertinant information that I might have missed. I will add a post after this one with just the questions that you can "Reply To" and add your information without copying and editing this first post. I hope to eventually get the basic info in a table and will try to post that periodically within the thread.

Please name your post with the title "Cabin # xxxx" so that those searching for information on a specific cabin can locate those easier with the search this forum option by using the cabin number that they need info on.

After the questions please add any comments concerning location - close to elevators, far from specific venues, etc. Also, post links to your photos of specific cabins or attach photos to the post.

Deck - 8

Cabin # - 8260

Class –

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Bed near?(balcony or bath) –Balcony

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) –OK-quiet

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – You do look straight down to the life boats.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - It is the first balcony after the "hump"...not on the angle as shown in the initial deck plans.

Was wind a problem? No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? No

Any other comments?

I did not like being "behind" the hump...as it meant that we could not really see forward, at all. But it was close to the aft elevators and very easy to get to the pool area, the buffet area and any of the other areas mid ship or aft.

Any other comments? Very comfortable cabin for two. The balcony has part of the x on it so part of the glass is like looking through smoked glass. The other half is clear. Was not a big deal as I would gladly reserve this room again. Very close to elevators which was extremely convenient.

The ship itself is very elegant and not flashy. Extremely easy to navigate.

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Generally, but occassional noise from the "cafeteria" above. It was generally not a bother, but if someone is extremely sensitive to noise it could be an issue. It became less obtrusive after the first night.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – No obstructions, just the overhang from above, which we knew about in advance.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal.
