What is the biggest thing you ever won on a ship?

The casino's have not been good to me(:

However have won several pieces of art as well as the little crystal Ship. (from the coupon book)

Won the Ship while on board the Sapphire. The art was won on differnet Ships(Coarl and Star I believe)

No matter what, when ever we take a cruise we consider ourselves winners! Cruising is a fabulous way to see the world.

Aloha,

Impossible to think but was in the final round of the final card with two women. They bet ALL of the chips on that hand leaving them with no chips remaining. They both lost! The one who was running the tourn said that they needed at least one chip at the end to claim a prize. She claims that those were the rules that she had sat at the beginning of the final round. They were mad as hell, especially since they were not prompted by anyone to keep a chip and claimed they hadn't heard the rule. What would you have done...........in that situation.? I offered to split the winnings with them but they refused saying that it was not my fault but the casino and they walked cursing all the way with the lousy tie shirt they were given as a constellation prize.

I also won a free acupunture session in the casino. I always wanted to try it; but it was the worst mistake I ever made. It was fine during the session but later that day I hurt in every place he had inserted the needle.

I won the same prize on the next cruise and gave it away to one of the casino staff.

We also won keychains in a twist contest.

There is no such think as a free lunch, other than coming out ahead in the casino or bingo

the rest is included in the price of the cruise or painting that we may buy!

On our last cruise on the Ruby, I won the big final bingo of $2750!! I split it with my mom though (since she bought my tickets...lol). I was an instant celebrity on the ship for the rest of the day... lol.

After dinner that night, I gave DH $100 and I took $100 down to the casino and was very lucky down there too. I ended up cashing out around $400.

We are the type who get panicked if we lose $1 in a slot machine, so we have neither won nor lost much in the casino!

We have the distinction of winning a bottle of champagne on every cruise we have ever been on (7 now). We go to a lot of games, so we have medals, luggage tags, mugs, etc.

A few years ago on the Coral up in Alaska, my husband and I actually won the Not-So-Newlywed Game. They gave us a tote bag full of stuff from the gift shop and a free couples spa treatment. That was kind of cool!

I forgot to mention that my husband was named Mr. Sun Princess in 2005! He danced around on stage and got all kinds of whoops and hollers from the crowd that awarded him the prize. I think he was up against some much younger men (he is normally a conservative 50+ human resources director!) and that made him stand out as he tore off his Hawaiin shirt!

That was one of our bottles of champagne....

Let’s see. Years ago I won a diamond ring by being one of the shoppers to buy something in a store in St. Thomas. The ring was given to me back on the ship.

My husband has won the big bingo once but had to share it with another lady – so he got about $1500.

I’ve won the big bingo once. I think it was $2600. Thankfully it helped defer some of my on board purchases since we were on a Tahiti cruise and I sort of needed to buy a black pearl necklace with matching earrings, a pair for my DD and DIL. LOL… Plus with all those shore excursions, I still ended up with a huge shipboard account. Lots of smaller bingos over the years, which I refer to as “just breaking even”.

I’ve won lots at the casino on the slots but since I reinvested it back, I have no idea how much. A few bottles of champagne and little stuff over the years.

I love this post! What fun to see what others have won. I love the big numbers!! LOL
The first time I won was when my husband wanted to ditch me to play cards on SeaBreeze in 1999 but I didn't know how to play video poker..so he taught me really quick. And now I'm hooked! But I won $800.00 that night and didn't want to go to supper. That ship is now at the bottom of the ocean with my favoriate machine.

On RCCL Monarch of the Seas in 2003 I won $3000.00 playing video poker. 4 night crusie that cost us $400.00. GOOD ONE!

On Celebrity Infinity 2004 I won a bingo for $400. That didn't pay for the crusie. :-(

On Carnival Elation I won $900 playing video poker and my daughter won $200 on pennies.

On RCCL Serenade of the Seas 2006 I won bingo for $176..had to share.

And on our last cruise NCL Sprit 2008, they were giving it away.
I won $440 at bingo, $405 and a t-shirt at a slot tourney, $4000 at (you guessed it) video poker. My daughter won $500 at video poker. My husband won $700 at 3 card poker. We also took home from bingo, 4 t-shirts, 4 duffle bags, cards, 3 pens, address book, 4 lip bingo balms, key chain light and a key chain bingo ball. They liked us at B-I-N-G-O!!! If you are on Spirit the good machines are all in the little back room, kinda tucked away. NOT BAD, since our cruise (penthouse suite) was free due to using our points from our NCL mastercard.

Hoping this year on Emerald Princess in April I'm a winner!!

I've won Princess umbrellas, Cd holders, key chains, a nice Princess travel alarm all
playing trivia.......once I was on deck may be on the Norway and walked by the
Pictionary game....I called out the answer, took my bottle of cheap champagne and
kept walking. The best prize was the champagne my husband won by letting a
fat lady sit in his lap to pop balloons. He is the quietest guy you could meet and
I couldn't believe they talked him into it.
