I just visited the Carnival Boards and one of the groups that was ahead of us just got their pricing. So, that is good news :D

Hi Linda, you can add my name to the list but I won't make a final decision until I see the pricing. The itinerary sounds wonderfull!:D I'm leaving in a few weeks for my third Alaska cruise but have never been to a lot of the places on this trip nor for 2 weeks. Just have to see if it will fit in my budget, since I will be traveling alone, am retired and spoiled rotten, and must have a balcony!;) Therefore, I always have to pay double and Alaska is pricey. But I'd love to do this.

I don't think you can. There are strict rules about what I can post and where - even after we are an official group.

I had been hoping you all would decide on the May 17th sailing. That's the one we booked. I will keep my eye on this thread though. If the pricing isn't too much higher, we could always switch.

I would expect the pricing we get to be lower so I hope I am right! I am finding just a slight difference in pricing on the sites I monitor and our group pricing should be better. :)

Ok, we are booked on this cruise! I decided not to wait and booked directly with HAL because we need a handicap cabin for Mom and I didn't want those to book up before we got pricing.

 

I can always transfer the booking to the group, or independantly , whichever is cheaper. Now if the May 17th date goes on sale then all bets are off and I may end up there.:)

 

Now to come up with the money to pay for this cruise!:eek:

We couldn't wait either, Sean, and booked the week the new itineraries came out - got a great deal from our favorite TA that was hard to pass up. Friends of ours just booked as well - and we were able to score the cabins we wanted. I'm just thrilled to be going back to Alaska (third time for us, how about you?), and now the waiting begins...I'm not a very patient person, so scanning these boards and living vicariously through all who are lucky enough to be going this year (when the prices are crazy unbelievable!) is going to have to suffice for now. We've already started researching excursions for the new ports we haven't previously experienced and those three add on ports of Anchorage, Kodiak, and Homer as well. Its so exciting! I love the planning part almost (okay, not even close, but it IS fun!) as much as the cruise itself. 14 days in our beloved Alaska - what could be better!!;)

I have been to Alaska many times, but I keep being drawn back! The unique ports and cruising of this trip really pulled me in dispite the higher than normal price for a 14 day cruise.

Fotunately for me, I have a cruise to Alaska on the 30th of August so I have my "fix" to help hold me over until this cruise!

Hi, everyone! I have been watching this thread with interest. I will be leaving on the 5/20 Volendam for a 7 day Inside Passage. I already think I will just be getting my feet wet with this cruise. I plan on putting a deposit down on a future cruise, and am very interested in learning what price you are quoted. We paid about 300.00 each less than HAL's prices for our current cruise, booked through a TA. However, I will have to sail a single as I don't think my travel bud will be interested in another Alaska cruise so soon.
