Yes, both of those give you double points, as does prepaying the DSC.

 

I'm also wondering about the Preferred Rewards bonus. I also have a BOA Cash Rewards card but do I have to have a checking/savings to get these rewards? If it does, will that entitle me to better rewards % and can that be combined with the above "double cross meta" offer? Very confusing

Having BofA checking/savings accounts will give you more reward points based on your combined balance in those accounts (there are 3 preferred level tiers)

I have not received any notices about earning bonus points, either, but I looked around and clicked around, and and voila!

I like to make notes like this for myself! Especially when it comes to finding things on a computer.

The last time I transferred points to on board credit, I transferred 20,000 points for 200.00 OBC. If I have 22,500 points will I be able to get $225 OBC? I know that when you sign into your NCL you can purchase as little as $25 OBC, so I'm wondering if the card would transfer in increments of 2,500 points? I also am thinking of funding my OBC account up front by purchasing onboard credit certificates on NCL. Buying 25 certificates @ $100 each would give me an extra 5,000 points, increasing my OBC by 50.00. My big question is whether those onboard credit certificates are refundable if you do not spend it all? Could that OBC be used in the casino?

Of course for an October 20th cruise the certificates would need purchased before my September 23 billing cycle.

My dh and I both have the NCL credit card. I want to get rid of his and only keep mine. He has some points on his. We are booked to cruise on NCL next year. Can I purchase or put the points on that cruise now, so I don't lose them if we cancel the card?

The NCL card is through the same bank as the RCCL card. When I applied for the NCL card last month they cancelled my RCCL card and I know I had some points on there and I'm guessing that they're gone.

You can transfer them from one account to another. I did that when I used the majority of ours for my upcoming cruise.

Oh! So, I can transfer my dh's from his credit card acct. into mine? I didn't even think that would be an option. A lot of these kind of cards wouldn't let you combine them. I wish I'd done that with my RCCL cards! Thanks!!!

There was an option online in the rewards section to transfer them. If you can't find it let me know and I'll try to figure out where I was.

My card is issued by BOA. I did it in their website. If you pull up your account there's a section to redeem rewards and you can also transfer them.

I have looked at the ncl site and the boa site but cannot find the answer to this. If I upgrade my cabin with points would I still be able to keep my promos even if that sale is over? We have the ubp with our ocean view in nov. but we're considering upgrading to a balcony closer to sailing. Thanks for your help.

I recommend talking directly with a cruise line rep. They have authority to find and make lots of things happen

I know a lot depends on which rep you talk with. I've dealt with one or two who really a worked hard to find me a better deal each time I'd call. They look up the most current offering and believe it or not it constantly changes. If your original booking was made through the cruise line and the points you want to use are from the credit card company, it could be tricky. You won't know until you ask.

I know I get 10,000 points after my first purchase and I get 2 points for every $1 i spend so I am paying for my cruise with this card so I get the extra 10,000 points from doing it that way which means I will have $200 worth of points .... So is there anything other than those 2 things I get for having this card and no I don't have any other banking or anything just this card was not sure if there was an extra perk for having it

Also how long before points become available after you make your purchase

You get 2 points per dollar for all NCL purchases; otherwise 1 point per dollar spent. Your points become available when the statement cuts.

There was also a $50 "gift card" for signing up that came in the mail to us. It turns out to only be used at NCL (vs. other debit cards that can be used anywhere). We signed up a while back but held onto that $50 gift card until we booked this reservation and then used it to reduce our balance due prior to charging the balance of the cruise to our NCL Mastercard. We will get our next statement about 10 days before cruising where we will simply pay it off from our checking account. However, I will also then convert the points into an additional $100 OBC.

Note: you can get an additional $100 OBC simply by owning NCL stock. check other threads for how to claim that credit.

Without reading 187 pages of comments, is there a chart either on Bank of America or Norwegian that gives you what your conversion options are with the points? I've searched Norwegian's site, and didn't come back with anything, and on Bank of America, I can't find something telling me what I am eligible for?

Yes, I was getting really excited with having 100,000 points after reading the first few pages, but, I couldn't find anything online offering that great of a deal? My husband said that he can "sell" or I guess redeem the points for $2000, which is a better deal than $1000 OBC. Thank you for helping me!!
