Non-refundable obc

The "yes" probably refers to "laundering" it through the casino. That is - activating a casino account, playing just a little, then cashing out. I don't know any details of that, but it is a kind of loophole some may use.

We have not done that, but the one idea I did read on this board some time ago was that at worst, if you have non refundable OBC left, you can buy coffee cards with it. The punches remain valid for future cruises. I thought that was a better idea than just buying some useless gift shop things with the OBC.

We tried using OBC up to buy Future Cruise Credits, but as many others have found out - nope - can't do that.

Of course, non refundable OBC is used up first, so if you have a combination of the two (refundable and non-refundable), you only need to use up the non-refundable total and the rest will come back to you by check in the mail a few weeks after your cruise. If you don't have "free gratuities" as one of your booking perks, then often the gratuities uses up a good portion of your non refundable obc.

In the past I loaded casino money at a slot machine, played a little, waited a couple days and cashed out - does this still work?

Yes, no reason to wait a few days but I guess it looks more genuine

I'm not sure about what using OBC had to do with using it for renting a tux but you certainly can use it for that. It can be use for just about any charges on the ship.

Gee - really? I didn't know that nor is it what I asked for in my original post

Please excuse my lack of knowledge but what OBC is non refundable? On our next cruise, we will have Princess OBC, TA OBC, and CCL OBC. I know CCL is not refundable, but am concerned about Princess OBC.

if you are already booked look at your booking on the Princess website - there is a section that will show your OBC and it will also state if it is refundable or nt

If the Princess OBC is from using an FCD (FCC) or is from an amenity that was part of the booking offer or was from Princess credit card points, it is non-refundable.

If the Princess OBC is from the veteran's benefit or is the Captain's Circle loyalty OBC, it is refundable.

If the TA OBC was actually given by Princess as part of a group booking by your TA, then it is really from Princess and not from your TA and will not be refundable. If the TA OBC was really out of the TA's own money, it will be refundable.

Your on-board account statement will indicate for each OBC if it is refundable or not.

Good information. I did go into my account and although some of the OBC was listed, none were marked "refundable or nonrefundable." Could that be because I have not made final payment? The TA OBC is not listed. We booked with a big box warehouse store.
