Oceania Riviera Embarkation Lunch Options?

The Terrace and Waves are your options. The above timings may be off in that everything shuts down in preparation of the mandatory evacuation drill. So that must be put in the time register.

We are typically sightseeing and enjoying a great local cruisine lunch in one of the great embarkation cities that Oceania utilizes in lieu of eating another nice buffet lunch that we can enjoy on any number of days while aboard.

We tend to get on board in time for lunch although not always. When we left Rome at 3pm we didn't get to Civitavecchia in time for lunch, but that was on Marina and there were some sandwiches left in the Executive Lounge.

Basically we will go to Terrace for a lovely lunch on whatever ship.

Waves is a very good option but we tend to reserve that for late returns on port visits. Not always!

You won't starve ... Well, if you board after 4pm MAYBE. But dinner isn't long off ...

I had a memorable meal in the Terrace in Istanbul on my first Oceania Cruise.

Boarding took some extra time and I had a tour guide coming 15 minutes after we boarded. Ran and put my carry on in the cabin and valuables in the safe. Grabbed something quickly and ran back off the ship in time to greet our private guide. One of the best tours ever.

Thanks to everyone for your quick and thorough replies. It sounds like Terrace is the place to eat lunch on Embarkation Day and that is a good thing.

As pinotlover pointed out, not everyone will be going to lunch since for many the Miami day is just a port on a longer voyage. I hadn't thought of that.

We are so excited that we are considering adding the 10 day portion before it.

Thanks again.

We usually have lunch in town then head to the port between 1-2 pm

no lines

The hotel will usually store your bags until you are ready to head out

Keep in mind for Miami you need to be checked in & onboard 90 mins prior to the sailing time

and I always go to The Terrace for my turkey. It is truly wonderful.

They do prime beef too.

They never do Turkey the entire other cruise. I turn down all plans just to have this turkey! LOL

We had carved turkey 3 times on recent Regatta voyage.
