When switching out your bar items, can you get liqueurs such as Tia Maria or Crème de Menthe?

I know that you can change liquor for beer or beer for liquor.

What other options are available?

There are only 4 types of the airplane size liquor bottles you can get. (2 of each 8 total)

You can trade them for more of the same one for one or beer one for one.

Can you trade the soda for other flavors/varieties, specifically for diet soda?

Thanks,

Your diet soda choices will probably be limited to Diet Coke or Diet Sprite.

Yup, and last cruise we wanted 20 Diet Cokes and had to wait a day before they could get them from the pallets - too many people asking for them and the pallets were behind other food just loaded.

Depends on the ship. In the past we have always had our room steward take care of it but this last cruise the room steward told us we had to call room service to exchange drinks.
It is not your steward's responsibility and takes time away from their heavy assigned workload. Work with room service.

It has always been room service, so asking the steward just adds another step to the process. I suspect some stewards are just more willing to make the call, but they do not do the switch.

Can you trade before you embark in the cruise personalizer or do you have to wait until you are on-board?

It can only be done after you embark. Before we became Elite in 2012 there was an option to select your online but this was gone by the time we became Elite.

Stewart has too much to do already without adding room service to his list of duties. ;)

On your cruise post on the questionnaire. What would make your cruise experience better: You want the ability to choose your bar set up before leaving home.

Also request that the in cabin entertainment systems be brought up to Royal class standard of on demand for the movies.

We trade in some our items, it can be challenging to get through to room service on embarkation day but no problem the next day. We also give a cash tip to the room service person who brings the items.
