Smoking Cigars on Oasis

Recommended Posts

I have read the RC smoking policy yet have heard many conflicting reports regarding cigar smoking outside on deck 15 on Oasis. Has anyone actually gone on a recent trip and can answer weather they allow cigar smoking on deck 15? At a bar or like standing by the side near the railing? I like to have a cigar at night after dinner on vacation and am curious what my options are. Thanks.

I believe you can still sit at the Pool Bar on 15 and the Sky Bar on 16 (at least in the past it was allowed). You don't have to stand at the railing.

If I'm remembering correctly, there were Lounge Areas with walls around them blocking off the wind on Deck 15 Portside. It was a REALLY nice area to enjoy a cigar at night.

Hope This Helps.

Was on Oasis in Oct 16. Smoking cigarettes is also permitted in 1/2 of the casino. Not sure if they differentiate between cigars and cigarettes though.

Thanks for this info. DH smokes cigars (TORPEEDOs) and has a hard time going to the areas with wind. He loved the Connoisseur Club on the Freedom but found it hard to find a place on the Oasis. We will check it out next cruise in July.:D

I am 99.999% sure that the casino does NOT permit cigar smoking.

As usual.......

You are oh, so, right.

No Cigars or Pipes allowed indoors anywhere. Why don't they have Connoisseur's Club on all the bigger ships? I understand they ARE on the Voyager Class, but they are getting rid of them. WHAAAAAAT????

Port side on deck 15, midship, tables, chairs and ashtrays in small 3 walled sections, no wind there

I would love to hear your experience with this as its pretty important to me. If you wouldnt mind reporting back that would be so helpful!

I generally find that smoking cigars outside on a moving ship is a less than satisfying experience. They burn too fast and hot. As it happens the options are few unless you are on a ship with a connoisseur club. I try to find a spot with at least some shelter from the wind or I just wait until we're in port.

Enjoy your cruise.

OMG, thank goodness. It will be nice when ALL SMOKING IS BANNED FROM THE CASINO.

Take a cruise out of Sydney. Heaven on earth. No indoor smoking at all. 39 days of bliss. Then WHAM. We got to Hawaii. Smoking returned to the casino. I did not.

Hey, if PLAYERS want to smoke and PLAY in the Casino, so be it. It is the non players using the Casino as a indoor smoking area that bothers me the most.

  • 2 months later...

good thread and up to date

I do smoke cigars, one a day at home generally. Two a day on cruises. I do wish that the Oasis class ships had the lounge as the Freedom ots does. We had a ball on Freedom last year and this if our first on an Oasis class ship. We sail at Halloween.

I do agree on the point of smokers that just pop into the casino so they can clog up the aisles and bar and smoke though!

.....not a big cigarette smoker, though I do bring a pack on a cruise.... don't usually have them at home.....

I try to be flexible. I'm not going to let cigar smoking determine my vacation. I generally find across all the ships I can enjoy a smoke here and there. Some of them are just a little easier. Don't forget about the ports. They're often a good option. The Habanos store in particular.
