I just received another email.

This time they are shilling wine, calling it Medallion Class market, and not Market Place.

And once again, there is nothing to see on the linked site.

Booked a B2B yesterday through the casino department and received this shortly after as well as a follow up call from the rep about it who booked my cruises.  I have a $100 credit $50X2. Doubt I’ll use it but I’ll watch for updates. I was able to see all the merchandise offered.  I think lol.

Wonder if this is initiated by the Casino then?  I really don’t like all the third party companies selling under the Princess name. Whose responsible if things go wrong?  Guess we have to opt out of more marketing by Princess affiliates.

I don’t think it’s through the casino, the marketing would be really limited to a specific group in that case. The site does have the Sea Witch logo which is copyrighted so I doubt its random.

Why wouldn’t the rest of us get these emails?  Strange.  


I did my research before posting everything.
I stumbled on the Market Place landing page weeks ago as a contest page Princess was running was also buried on the same domain. A Google search led me to a portfolio of someone in the CCL art department. It’s legit, just not operable.

Just tried to do a purchase let me put the item in the cart and took me to check out.  Also able to choose Canadian funds.

They're trying to associate CC screen names with email addresses. Now they know exactly who CineGraphic is and that he's been complaining about JP. Your life with Princess is over ..🤣😱

So...has anyone actually been able to log into these sites from the emails?? I still wonder how real it is. At least I haven't gotten the wine one. I guess they know my wine is only $10 a bottle and has a screw top 🤣

How did you get in?  I got one of these emails late last week and another about wine today, but can't get in.  I sent it back to them asking them how to log in but no reply.  I also clicked on Forgot Password, but never got an email to reset the password.

 

Tell us all what the trick is!  What password for what site do they want??

I just clicked on redeem rewards entered a new password  which has to be up to 12 letters /numbers and I was able to access the full site.

Just got my email today.  Tried with @CineGraphiclink earlier.  Both times says my I am invalid.  There's really nothing I want from them.  Just wanted to look and see.  

 

@Sprocketdid yo complete your transaction?  

 

Not interested in spending more time on this.  Hope someone solves the mystery.

Hasn't worked for me! Such a weird site with no way to create login/password.

Look at this previous thread on the subject:

 

 

It looks like the company that Princess hired to help customers with Medallion questions decided on their own to offer hotel and other options. Does not appear that this was authorized by Princess.

 

For those of you who did make a hotel booking with them, what did the credit card web site/statement say was the company making the charge?

Well here goes - so far I have sent four emails to Leonardo Royal Southampton Hotel and finally got a reply.  They have said I have the reservations for October 6.  But, even though I have asked if it was a paid reservation, they have not responded.  I also finally got thru to Medallion Class Market representative and she said, “yes, the reservation was made and they have a confirmation from the hotel”.  However, when I asked for a copy to be sent to me, “it was policy not to because other peoples names were on it”. I even tried saying block those names out and just send me mine.  But no go!  I am half way there - now waiting for hotel to confirm they have been paid.  I can’t believe how badly Princess set this up.  I will never call Princess sales line again.  Evelyn

Princess did not set this up. They only contracted the company to help answer Medallion questions.

 

The company on its own decided to offer hotels, transfers, etc.

 

You should just make Princess management aware of what this company is doing and Princess will probably have them stop. Princess will care because they are not making money when this company takes hotel and transfer business away from Princess.

 

As far as your hotel reservation being paid to the hotel yet, it might not be yet but would be by the time you check-in if not paid already.

Yes, I am in the process of trying to get someone to listen to how this is being handled by Princess.  The good news is I was able to get Leonardo Royal Hotel in Southampton to confirm the reservations and to say they have been paid!  They sent me confirmation email but with completely different confirmation numbers but I now have direct confirmation from the hotel, printed out.  Of course, I also had the “medallion class market and Princess logo” on the other confirmation.  This was a big hassle and I want Princess to know what is happening.  There I have vented enough!  Thanks for listening everyone and your suggestions have helped.  Will let you know if Princess ever gets back to me.  Evelyn
