  1. Walking from Hotel Jazz to LSF is a bit of a hike. A few Euros for a taxi might be worth it. We did Parc G when it opened on Day 2. The children had a tough time getting up due to jet lag but were troopers and enjoyed the park
  2. We walked to it to check it out and it certainly didn't look like it was worth $15pp
  3. Not sure, but Viking seems accommodating. When we were leaving a van drove up around 7:30 am and dropped people off for the next cruise. They were ushered into the dining room for breakfast.
  4. Last week we arrived at 6:45 am in Barcelona. Arrived at the hotel (near Las Ramblas) around 9. Checked our luggage and went to the Boqueria for some fruit juice and pastry and then to the HoHo bus. We did go to La Pedrera while it was early and an outside visit to La Sagrada. Then we rode the bus a bit until lunch. Back to the hotel for a little rest then off to dinner and the Magic Fountain.
  5. Sorry, didn't keep them. The only relevant information was the daily schedule, which is available on the app. Someone generally tore off the schedule and kept it in their pocket.
  6. We had a group of 6, never a problem. However most nights we ate early (6:30)
  7. I live in MD and have driven to Manhattan for a cruise. My recommendation is to leave very early (like 6 am if you want to be on the boat at 1 pm). Hopefully, the worst case is that you are there early and either on the boat early or hanging around. On a nominal case, leaving at 6 gets you to the tunnel towards the end of rush hour. Even if it took two hours to get through, you are still good. Listen to the traffic reports in case one Hudson River crossing is better than another.
  8. Plenty of beaches walking distance. Maybe this photo (last Friday) helps. The first picture is what is across the street from the beach. On the ramp in the second picture are people walking back to the tender pier.
  9. Last week on NCL it was the regular port in Barcelona
  10. Last week when we were at the Trevi Fountain (Rome) we saw the Selfie Tour walk by. Not sure how long they stayed.
  11. We used RomeIn Limo last week in Rome. There were six of us so it made the price attractive compared to the cruise line tour. Our driver was phenomenal. We saw much more than we could have imagined. On the way back to the ship we saw people coming from the train station. Over a few bucks, I can't imagine that they saw anything near what we did. I am happy to recommend this company.
  12. We were there last Sat. NCL ran a shuttle bus ($15) from the ship to the old town and back. People on a ship tour could stay in the old town and ride the bus back for free.
  13. We were in Barcelona and used cards for taxis. We have also stayed at Hotel Jazz and have good things to say. Wherever you stay in Barcelona you will need a taxi to get to the port so stay where it is convenient for touring.
  14. Alicante was a pleasant surprise for us. Views from the castle are awesome. There is a pedestrian walkway with shopping and the beach is nice (trailer alert - tops optional)
  15. As others have said HOT, HOT, HOT

That's what the kids were doing.

    Jellyfish

They were there in late June. Kids were collecting them.
  19. We returned from a river cruise earlier this week. There were plenty of people in their mid 80s.
  20. I travel with both. For my DLSR I use a zoom lens that covers most situations so I do not change lenses. The bridge camera is a Canon 40X. I use that when I want the longer zoom or when I want to carry something smaller. I also like that takes sharper pictures than my phone.
  21. The web site has my connections but I have not received email confirmation from NCL with specifics. We are 24 days out.
  22. Does anyone have definitive information as to whether a negative COVID test is required to board in Barcelona after Aug 1?
