  1. I am so enjoying your live report as we are boarding in a little over a week for the Maiden Voyage cruise. In addition to the Baked Brie appetizer in Normandy, was the other appetizer Coquille St. Jacques with scallops? Hope so as I make the delicious Baked Brie and Coquille St. Jacques my entree. Happy Anniversary and happy cruising!
  2. That is what we thought. It is between that Royal Caribbean itinerary if available and Reykjavik, Iceland to Boston on Celebrity. We believe we can book the Celebrity cruise next month, week of December 4th. But RT Boston sounds good too, and we have been to Iceland 3x but not to Greenland yet.
  3. We are interested in the Boston to Greenland and Canada back to Boston itinerary for 2025 like the Jewel is doing for 2024. Will that be offered again in August/September 2025? Which ship? Brillance? When is it projected to be available for booking for 2025?
  4. I will be onboard the Ascent in 12 days so I will bring up then with CC person. We are Zenith so there is really no higher we can go except maybe someday being the guests with the highest number of points on a given cruise. No chance we will make double Zenith.
  5. We are still waiting for our power-up points from the September/October webinar. I emailed Captain's Club asking about my missing points, but no reply. I guess we won't be getting them.
  6. We are still in Pending status for our 12/3 Ascent Maiden Voyage cruise with 12 days to go before we board. There were 18 Aqua Class cabins available yesterday, and today there were none. So either they are assigning them now for guarantees and move-ups or they have been already assigned and we are just stuck in Pending status with no chance of a move-up from veranda to Aqua Class. We did bid with a strong bid. Is it unusual for the cabins to appear to be "sold out" but still have a chance at a move up with just 12 days before boarding?
  7. Happy Anniversary! What a nice celebration that will be on the cruise! I will be following your Live post especially since we will be on the December 3rd "Maiden Voyage" cruise. We have been on the Apex (2 cruises) and Beyond (2 cruises), so we are familiar with Edge-class ships. You will really enjoy this class. Anything you can say about Retreat Lounge will be appreciated as this will be our first-time using Retreat on Edge-class ships. I am curious as to what the outside area is that shows tables and chairs on deck plans just outside of the Retreat Lounge. We are also still waiting to hear about our pending Move Up.
  8. That is what I was thinking too because Caribbean itineraries also will be released that week. I expect that the ship will be one doing Caribbean sailings that summer and be repositioned to Cape Liberty or Boston for Iceland and Greenland cruises, followed by the New England & Canada itineraries, such as possibly the Silhouette.
  9. Still waiting for the 3 Captain's Club Points from the September/October PUP.
  10. The salt room on the Apex worked in November 2021 but the salt room on the Beyond did nothing as far as the salt. It was just a room that was slightly warm with no features except benches to sit on and have a bit of privacy as no one was in there because it didn't work. Have you seen the salt room work on any of the E class ships?
  11. Still no 3 points for us, but you are much closer to Double Zenith than we are, so you must have been given a higher priority. Maybe it is clogged in the queue with our Move Up bid. lol.
  12. We still have not received the 3 points either and, like you, we are Zenith. The From the Bridge email today shows 2 points less than what we show online. Maybe tomorrow or soon, the 3 pts will show up.
  13. We took the Taormina on Your Own which included plenty of time for walking around town and going to the Roman-Greek amphitheater.
  14. We usually always book Aqua Class and prefer the AQ menu to the heavier Luminae menus. The lobster on soba noodles is one of my very favorites along with branzino. I make the lobster on soba noodles an entree, sometimes just ordering a double order as my entree (sometimes one order is enough as an entree if pairing with another appetizer). We enjoy the Thermal Suite Spa / Persian Gardens on the Edge and S-class ships, but not so much on the M-class ships. For these reasons (menu and spa), AQ is ideal for us on E-class and S-class ships.
  15. There is a recent post on the aft cabins near Eden. We prefer aft but there could be some noise at night if cabin is aft on deck 6 or 7. We have been aft on deck 10 on Beyond and it was not noisy. Supposedly, noise (bass sound) is over by midnight.
  16. Thank you for following up on this issue. IMO this change (even if only temporary) is wrong on all levels, especially on a health level. Removing the signs sends the wrong message. No sign, but you can vape in the casino. No signs in any other venues will lead people to think okay in any venue or to be daring enough to try in any venue. So much for Healthy at Seas - or was that another cruise line that advertised this? I thought Celebrity had a Healthy at Seas program which apparently is being replaced with Vaping at Seas at least on Eclipse and Equinox. Hopefully this trial will be a colossal failure.
  17. How was your cabin? We have this cabin booked on another Edge-class ship, which is in the same location as on the Apex.
  18. Yesterday our friends were quoted $18.99 per person per day plus taxes and gratuities to upgrade from Classic on their AI to Premium drink package. Does anyone know if this price has fallen to upgrade from Classic to Premium now that prices have been reduced? My question means for the extended sale ending tonight and after the sale ends. Update: My friends checked, and the upgrade is still $18.99 per person per day plus taxes and gratuities to upgrade from Classic on their AI to Premium drink package. They are waiting for a sale price. Does Celebrity ever offer upgrade sales/discounts for Classic to Premium? I think yes, but not sure because we are Zenith and get the Premium drink package so no need to upgrade for the 2 of us.
  19. Not good (except for your compensation!). We are booked on the 7-night Ascent Maiden Voyage in Infinite Veranda 6298. There are two cabins Porthole Verandas aft of us plus the sunset cabins. We will probably be positioned over the Eden Cafe or over the tables for Eden Cafe. Do you think the heavy base would be loud enough to reach our cabin (3rd last cabin on deck 6 before the sunset cabins). We have been in a Sunset Veranda on E-class before but probably deck 8 or above and had no issues with noise). One good thing about the Infinite Veranda is that we can "close" the doors to the veranda part of the cabin. We do like being aft because usually it is quieter there.
  20. Our friends have the Classic drink package from the AI for our January cruise and want to upgrade to the Premium package. Today Captain's Club quoted $18.99 per person per day plus taxes and gratuities. They are Select, very close to Elite but not Elite yet. Does Celebrity sometimes have sales on the upgrade prices to go from Classic to Premium? If so, what would be a typical upgrade price, per person/per day? I should know this, but since we are Zenith members, we get the Premium package so don't have to worry about upgrades.
