  1. You do realise Harry that this will be a deliberate ploy by the port management to either have the tests made less onerous or push the blame elsewhere, not necessarily what the final outcome will be.
  2. It does make you wonder if P&O are deliberately making the coach journey so uncomfortable that passenger will eventually not want to use the coach?
  3. I was called on embarkation day to ask if I was on board or not, I almost answered to hang on while I checked with the people in the cabin next door, but thought better of it. Apparently I had not visited the muster station, I asked if my wife had checked in at the muster station and was told yes she had, I did wonder how she had managed to check in when I hadn't, and I was pushing her wheelchair? Computer systems are fine just as long as they are not reliant on idiots to input the data.
  4. We shower in the evening however our towels are always dry come morning.
  5. The answer is dont tick yes to any health question, otherwise you will be denied boarding.
  6. I gave up buying bottles of wine in the MDR when my wife stopped drinking G. I now buy large glass of whichever wine I want, which is always more than adequate for me to finish over dinner .
  7. It's possible it could have been someone else's old battery, something you never get if you put new batteries in yourself.
  8. It's very easy to change the batteries, and far cheaper as well, even at Sainsburys battery prices.
  9. So the hundreds of thousands of Cubans fleeing to the US were leaving a paradise behind were they?
  10. Since the bed position is different in adjacent cabins on both sides, I never really know which side I am on until I look outside.
  11. Not yet but in a years time maybe it will.
  12. No, we book through an agent and also received the same e-mail from P&O.
  13. Unfortunately ii's online data does not provide a useful page to print, but they do send off the request to Carnival, so I am happy with that.
  14. That's OK as long as you remember to disable auto rotate.😥
  15. If this was luggage labels, then it now seems that it prints 2 labels at a time, one for each of you.
  16. We spend plenty of time outdoors on a cruise, either on the open decks or on our balcony or in our cabin as do many others, far less than 95% of our time is spent indoors or in a crowded area.
  17. Maybe Grant Shaps comment that it would not get through parliament has been heeded.
  18. We normally get auto text message reminders, maybe your mobile is not registered with them Josy?
  19. Sky mobile charge £2 per day for their roaming passport which includes USA, Canada, Australia and Caribbean Islands that are EU country territories.
  20. Yes that is what we do with our investment broker.
  21. I live in hope that perhaps one day your glass will be half full, rather than half empty.
  22. Most of the FCCs are for deposit only, so not a catastrophe if they have to lose the money.
  23. Do you really believe that, with the cost of drinks and speciality meals on the US lines, especially with a 15% gratuity.
  24. By now everyone should be aware that covid protocols are an evolving feature which are routinely being updated, so simply claiming they were different when they booked is no justification for claiming unfair practises. As far as risk is concerned I think cruising.marks post explained that far more eloquently than anyone so far.
  25. For the vast majority there is nothing to fear, and anyone who has concerns that covid could cause severe problems for them should not be considering cruising, or any other activity where crowds of people would be present. However I do agree with you that they are not being fair in the way they are handling the wind down of FCCs. Since they insist on passengers having adequate insurance, they should at least be having a dialogue with insurers so that passengers could readily know they were fully covered in all circumstances.
