  1. It will be very interesting to see if the lower speed limit reduces pedestrian injuries, and of course there is the added benefit of extra revenue from speeding fines. 🤣
  2. Thank you @Mike Senior, I found it, maybe using my phone made it more difficult for me to navigate, but I wonder if everyone will have a CC friend to help them find the form, and maybe newcomers will not even know there is a form hidden in the bowels of the My P&O Cruises data. As an afterthought, why hide it away like that anyway, the file does not have the specific cruise data pre-loaded, so it could just as easily have been a link on the first page.
  3. Could it be because they have listened to all the complaints about Haugasund.
  4. We booked G601 at launch and normally get an e-mail with a link to the medical questionnaire shortly after, for passengers in an adapted cabin, but not received it yet, so I sent a reminder this week. We got a prompt reply advising that things have now changed and this form can now be accessed via My P&O cruises, which is where your personal details are input, but I cannot find any link to the form at all. So maybe some of our cleverer posters can point me in the correct direction, main points of letter below:- """"We have now moved our questionnaires into a new format online via My P&O Cruises. Please visit My P&O Cruises online for more information and, if necessary, to complete the On Board Needs Questionnaire. You can find the login by following this link: P&O Cruises check-in and Login (pocruises.com), you need to log into cruises individually to submit your On Board Needs Requirements. Once logged in, click ‘Before You Sail’. Then click ‘On Board Needs’ this will take you to the new questionnaire layout. Please ensure you complete the onboard needs questionnaire thoroughly and read each question carefully, as once completed you cannot add any missing information and the questionnaire will need to be completed again."""
  5. I thought that speed humps had been designated worthless, and councils were being encouraged to remove them.
  6. And the boss lady Dame Irene is Iona's Godmother.
  7. I have to confess that I also find the Beechhouse food far tastier than Epicurean. However Celebrity Eclipses Tuscan Grill food was always delicious, and well worth the extra cost, especially as we always managed to get a discounted price.
  8. On Princess in the buffet you have to go to the marmalade counter to have the jam waiter plop a dollop or 2 of your chosen preserve on a plate, I think the plastic tubs in the buffet are dar less messy and certainly more hygienic.
  9. I am just not artistic enough to be able to create something like that.
  10. You never get anything like that in the wonderful buffet.
  11. That might be more to do with her settings, if she (or you) have not ticked the right boxes she wont get any e-mails or post from them.
  12. But just make sure you return it when you leave, otherwise your table could be left out of action.
  13. I agree with Moley, it is very unlikely that any germs would be left on the water spout even if it did touch the bottle neck. Probably because of covid and noro there is a heightened concern about the petri dish theory of cruise ships and infections. That is not to say that general hygiene standards should not be publicised, and passenger reminded about regular handwashing. But these issues do seem to create a hysteria about the risk of germs which is out of all proportion.
  14. I would expect that if the speciality restaurants were regularly full, then even P&O would consider adding more.
  15. That seems very short sighted, surely changing the menus mid week would allow many more passengers to enjoy both menus, if they wanted.
  16. I don't think I have ever seen anyone take a table in the buffet where someone has left something to denote it is now occupied. Maybe I am just a lucky guy
  17. I guess if the service in the MDR at breakfast equalled the service we used to get on Celebrity, then I might change my mind. However on our recent very occasional visits on P&O we have been plonked on a table for 2, and ignored by the wait staff until we attracted their attention, then had to wait for the table to be reset, then further waits for bits and pieces to arrive. Resulting in us feeling over stressed, whereas we always feel fully relaxed after a buffet breakfast, despite it often being very busy.
  18. Do you think this is what P&O meant by reducing food waste?🤣
  19. I am always a little confused by scam programmes and anti scam info, which seems to advise that we should never disclose our bank details; and yet we have to provide sort code, account number and account name to enable someone to pay us money by a bank transfer. Clearly its the on line login details of our bank account that we need to protect, because without these no one should be able to withdraw money from our account, even if they know the account number.
  20. Yuk!!!, that looks disgusting, you really are an unlucky fellow when it comes to buffet dining. But I suppose since we regularly use the buffet, I quickly get to know the layout, so I know where to find things. Conversely I never enjoy the MDR for breakfast, the food seems tepid compared to the hot food in the buffet, and I always seem to under order, which of course with self serve never happens. But I would like P&O to have waiters serving coffee and juice at the tables like Princess do those drink stations are often a nightmare. I also really enjoy the Jam Shed red wines, although I confess that I don't think I would be able to differentiate them on a blind test.
  21. I guess their early music led the way for the mersey sound, in the UK, and then the Brit sound that also dominated the US charts over the end of the 60s, and their musical record is amazing. But IMO some of their later music was a bit weird, although interspersed with some great tracks. However the 60s, 70's and 80's were full of some great groups and solo artists, unfortunately age does seem to change your appreciation of current musical trends, but just occasionally a modern song does hit the spot again.
  22. There is a maximum weight limit for cases of 23 kgs, which you can just about squeeze into a medium case, however the large cases will hold over 30 kgs and the porters, never mind the cabin stewards, will struggle to lift that sort of weight.
  23. No pressure now they have the charters arranged, in fact one of the reasons they don't offer a cheaper cruise only option, is that then the charter seat(s) would be empty.
  24. Princess do a white night, but very few guests seemed to follow it, only the ents staff.
