I can’t presume to know your circumstances, all I can do is relate from personal experience. My sister and I splurged to take our mother along with us, sharing a higher category of suite to accommodate. It was a trip we’ll never forget and we still reflect fondly 10 years after her passing. She had the time of her life and the crew couldn’t do enough for her. I wish you only the best on your journey, whatever you decide.

We haven’t been on an S class ship for 5 years or so, so memories are clouded. We’ve been on Summit multiple times since the reopening after Covid. We love the Summit for their staff..they are exceptional. While we really enjoy the Retreat deck on E class ships we find the Retreat lounge to be cold and impersonal, although lovely with great views. We much prefer M class Retreat (Michael’s Club) lounge for ambiance and service. Your mileage may vary.

I have no problem leaving electronics out in the room. I do put wallet and jewelry in safe. No worries about bringing my kindle and phone to the retreat deck and solarium. I never carry a purse except for dinner..must have lipstick, tissue and a brush. Otherwise, my seapass and phone are in my pocket. I’ve never had a problem and don’t stress about it.

This is it exactly. We’ve had no problems getting beer, soda or specialty waters. Other things vary.

I’m curious also. The grey color of the holder indicates a suite yet the card is Aqua blue. Is this from one of the new Aqua class sky suites?

We’re Elite Plus and never upgraded. We sail in suites.I feel so very appreciated 🤔

This isn’t quite the same situation, however I had a problem booking one excursion for our last cruise. Able to book others but one wouldn’t go through. The Captain’s club was able to book it over the phone. If you haven’t tried them yet it might be worth a shot.

Migraine inducing for sure along with physical challenges it presents. Did no one consult risk management?

Our situation is similar. Edge sailing in December has no Suite Menu items listed, but our Infinity in February does have it.

I would definitely choose Aqua. Points are the same as concierge and you have a separate dining restaurant Blu, as mentioned previously.

Yes, we found that they worked attached to the ceiling in our Celebrity Suite.

Not sure why you directed this to me. I’ve stated my objection to the practice. I was thanking Denny for asking and relaying info received from Retreat.

When I opened this thread I was sure you were asking about tracking your drink itself. I thought “wow, how cool…it’s at the bar..waiter is around the bend…voila..here it is!” 😂

With suites sailing at full capacity, I don’t think exceptions should be made for non suite passengers, even in upper suites. Our last several cruises have shown lapses in service due to staffing issues. Adding additional passengers to an already full Luminae dining room is diminishing the suite experience that we have paid for. I do realize that this is problematic to suite guests with family/friends traveling in other categories. We also have friends joining us for an Antarctica cruise who are not traveling in a suite. We plan to see them in lounges and on excursions. If they wanted the suite experience they would have paid for it. Why should we be subjected to longer waits and poorer service for passengers who failed to coordinate and plan well?

I have some videos of hubby and I and our dear friends dancing and singing along during silent disco. They are hilarious and never to be shared! Such good memories though!

Thanks for your Infinity review. Sounds like she’s in great shape. We’re looking forward to sailing with her to Antarctica this February. We love the M class, but also enjoy E class mostly for the enhanced Retreat areas. Still miss the C class though.

Silent disco is one of our favorite things to do onboard. Helps to work off dinner and dessert! We’ve never had to wait for headsets though. I guess timing is everything.
