  1. We are booked on the 2026 WC so reports on this ship are of particular interest to us. If you are on the Mariner or have been recently, please share your impressions. Thank you.
  2. We are mostly Regent cruisers and the dining on the Quest compared to Regent was quite poor. Without the future cruise credits that are enough for a free cruise, we would never sail seabourn again.
  3. Thanks, all! That airboat tour sounds just about perfect, so here’s hoping.
  4. Our only Seabourn experience was on the Quest. We were quite disappointed in both food and service. We were on the first full sailing after the pandemic and the ship was severely understaffed. From following the boards, it sounds as though the service has improved but not the food. The menus were poorly designed and there was too much repetition. We are going to try Seabourn one more time because we have so much future cruise credit but we are not going anywhere near the Quest. Hoping to have a better experience on the Ovation.
  5. An Everglades Airboat tour sounds fabulous!
  6. Sounds great! Does anyone remember where the HOHO bus stops or how long the route takes? Thanks so much for the helpful info.
  7. We just booked a second cruise out of Miami creating a western and southern back to back. Do we have to disembark at the midway point in Miami and if we do, does Regent provide an excursion or shuttle bus? Thanks!
  8. Great pictures, thank you!
  9. Couldn’t be happier by this report so thank you!! The spa menu looks very good too and should make it easier not to gain too much weight. Have you been to the spa pool area? We live that area on riviera and vista looks even better.
  10. We board next year so thank you for this thread! The ship sounds absolutely gorgeous and I’m particularly pleased to hear that the smoking setup is not the problem it is on Riviera. Is there an outdoor smoking area or just the indoor lounge?
  11. Wow, thanks so much for this!! We aren’t on till next year but the excitement is already building. Looking forward to more of your posts.
  12. We are also considering the hotel options in Barbados and are getting many conflicting reviews, so if I may ask … have you stayed at both of these resorts post pandemic? Do one or both have water sports available on their property (kayaking and snorkeling)? Any and all info will be greatly appreciated, thank you!!
  13. While we did not do that particular dinner pairing, we did both of the other two and I cannot recommend them enough. Yes it’s expensive, but we felt completely worth it. Food, wines, and service excellent and you are welcome to wine refills after a good first pour.
  14. Thanks for the helpful info, even if I was hoping for the opposite answer. And yes, the pictures of the spa pool on Vista look amazing!
  15. Are they the same? Some info I’m finding says that Marina has 2 whirlpools and the deck plans show the one larger spa pool like Riviera. If you’ve been on Marina somewhat recently, your help here is appreciated.
  16. We are going to call on a couple ports that were not your favorite, Santos and Ilha Grande. Any recommendations for shore excursions that might have been better than others there? We will also be calling on Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio de Janeiro, and Buzios. I had ruled out the Tango show but it looks like you really enjoyed it. Your review has been so helpful, thank you!
  17. We are casual people who always follow the dress code rules. We would be in favor of more relaxed guidelines. We pay attention to the gorgeous venue, beautifully plated delicious food, each other, and our friends so we don’t spend our evening looking for dress code infractions. At the end of the day, the dress code is a red herring. If you are clean, courteous, and well kept, you’ll probably look good in most fabrics or collars. Sloppy, loud, rude, and unkept folks don’t look good - tux or no tux.
  18. We will be in Buenos Aires later this year on our South America cruise so your port reviews are all the better for me! Thanks so much for the great pictures and descriptions.
  19. Thank you for this balanced review and the great pictures!! Ahhh lobster tempura, delicious 😋 We are going on the South American itinerary later this year so your info on the ports is very helpful. I’ll look forward to your more detailed port report.
  20. We were just on the Splendor in February and had a wonderful time. If you go back and find my live from blog, you will see that I made reference to the one lacking department but did not specify. This Destination Services team was terrible. We had issues with two teams and made note on our mid cruise comment card. The other department called us immediately and turned the negs into positives. Not destination services. They couldn’t have cared less and made no effort to improve. We had a health related issue for this particular cruise and had essentially the same experience as Sheila. Destination services wasn’t the least bit interested to help us make adjustments to our tours to accommodate my husbands health problem. For the most part, they knew nothing about the tours and made no apology for that. It’s the only Regent Destination Services team that we have ever had a problem with. Their overall setup and execution was unbelievably poor. Gersson, in particular, was clearly annoyed to be asked anything. He was quite rude to us on more than one occasion. I am chiming in about it now to support Sheila because I believe that Regent does monitor these boards and it’s important for them to know that this is not an isolated issue.
  21. We have had Guerlain and L’Occitane in our suites, both very nice!
  22. Your review seems fair and while I had some different experiences than you did, each person has something to contribute. The pool lounger issue on splendor is a real problem and it was in full swing on our February 8 cruise. Many days, the sun deck was closed for the strong winds making it even worse. If having a great lounger that is easy to get is very important to you, I can understand your disappointment. I agree with you about staggered entertainment times. We are early people and have dinner in the first wave but don’t stay up late enough for the 9pm shows. We absolutely loved the couple of shows that we were able to attend before dinner. I’m hard pressed to understand your issues at Pacific Rim. We had 3 flawless meals there with food, service, and ambiance to rival any land based restaurant. We had several good meals at Sette Mari too but again, we arrived at 6:30 when the antipasto bar was fresh and delicious. They were indeed consistently very busy and we also had a couple misses there. One issue they had during our cruise was that they back deck often had to be closed because of the winds making the restaurant capacity smaller. We saw the Food and Beverage Manager every day and usually more than once per day. He regularly was actively involved in breakfast at La Veranda, even though they were adequately staffed, just being hands on by greeting guests, clearing plates, and serving juice. We thought he was one of the outstanding crew members and often wondered if his identical twin was on board because we saw him everywhere and so often. I do not know how it is possible that you missed him! Regent is the best fit for us. There are a couple others that we enjoy too. Hope you find your better fit moving forward with smooth sailings!!
  23. Hopefully, this works: https://link.edgepilot.com/s/dd4ced65/Brk3IvvpVUGTZeOwMDqPxg?u=https://brochures.rssc.com/view/696317948/
