  1. Yes, I've done this. You take your walker just up to the point where you board. The airline staff then store your walker and have it ready for you when you deplane, same spot as where they took it. Are you able to get to your seat without the walker? If not, I'm sure the airline will assist you.
  2. I'm sorry, I know this has been posted before, but I don't remember the answer. Does anyone know when the Catch will be on the Discovery? Thanks.
  3. I too shared your concerns, until I took the first solo cruise! Had a blast, no turning back now!
  4. Did you express your concerns to the Maitre'd? I know if Mario were still on the ship he would have tried his best to correct it.
  5. Yes, and the $10 fee has now disappeared.
  6. Keep trying, I finally got all of my cruises to go to the green lane yesterday.
  7. Several years ago I took my two daughters and a friend on a cruise. Two of the girls were just months of turning 21. The waiter would not service them but did not object when I poured for them. Trying to order a drink in a lounge is a totally different story, a 100% no. And as I am one who follows the rules, I did not object.
  8. I had this happen to me on the Discovery inaugural cruise. I went to bed early that night and after changing into my nightgown I found an engineer in my room fixing the faulty medallion door screen! No knock and no apology, totally unaware.
  9. I've eaten twice in Skagway as I like club class minis due to the larger balcony for my long legs. One night I went to Ketchikan to check it out and much preferred the decor, I thought it was beautiful.
  10. Interesting. I had D726 on my last cruise and felt overwhelmed with the size of the balcony, and a little guilty. One could have a party for many on that deck. So, I appreciate your feedback on the Riviera deck suites. Next time Princess has a solo supplement sale on the Mexico sailings, I'll try one of those!
  11. I just found mine on the app. Mine was not on my travel summary for some reason.
  12. Thank you!! I've been going nuts checking my travel summary every day; just looked on the app and sure enough it's there!
  13. You're lucky you weren't on the inaugural cruise, sounds like they've been broken in now.
  14. A lot of people on that cruise reported the same thing. Some were able to get mattress toppers, others reported being in pain even after the cruise. I prefer a firm mattress, but this was rock hard. Very disappointing as I was so looking forward to a good nights sleep on the new Princess mattress.
  15. I was in a mini suite on the inaugural cruise and the bed was like concrete. Maybe they'e been "broken in" by now.
  16. Okay, so my understanding is that if you leave on the auto gratuity and tip your server an additional amount, he/she gets to keep that. Is that still the case?
  17. To answer your question, yes you can do it.
  18. I went to Williamsburg and D.C. when I was around 18 with a friend and the heat and humidity about did this SoCal girl in. I did love it though, but your age has nothing to do with it. My friend lives in New Jersey and she is used to it. Couldn't understand what my problem was.
  19. As far as actually sailing from Halifax, that would be a hard no from me. San Diego is my home airport and I imagine the fare would be enormous to fly there, let alone how long it would take.
  20. I love cruising out of Port Everglades! So convenient to grab a cab from the airport to the multitude of nice hotels on 17th St., plenty of options to eat and shop on 17th St., and so close to the cruise terminal, which in my opinion is at the top of the list for embarkation terminals. I travel solo and have some mobility issues so walk very slow but have never been harassed or felt like prey. And I love to get in a day early and take the water taxi around the canals.
  21. It's not you. I stopped ordering beef a long time ago. However, I did have the best filet at the Bistro del Sur, but that's gone by the wayside to make room for Rudi's Catch. I am looking forward to Rudi's, as I like seafood, and that's usually my first choice when dining out.
