  1. I have no personal experience with it but I did see quite a few people using it on our recent Marina cruise. There were at least 3 or 4 private cars and vans at various ports with the little Oceania tour signs as we would debark at ports. My point is that it seems to be working for them with SM more than I had noticed in the past. Keep in mind this is just one person's simple observation and no hard facts.
  2. You have it figured out now, just wanted to throw in I have no idea as we didn't go there. Our only Argentina stops were Buenos Aires and Ushuaia.

    Happy Hour

Also at night, 10-11 in Horizons.
  4. I could be wrong but I think that poster was talking about a cruise last year. Maybe they'll chime in as to when it was. Doesn't matter either way as it's really not acceptable to not have air. I had this issue on Regatta a couple of years ago. The guy that came to fix it took the cover off the unit in the ceiling, made one adjustment and it immediately started working better than any I've ever seen on the older ships. I think maybe it might have been turned off for some reason.
  5. Let us know how that works out calling direct in your situation. There are some things you can call direct on and some things that must be done through your TA. I would think changing room categories would fall under TA taking care of it. But you never know till you ask. It looks like it's about $230 or so a day to upgrade to that room That's still pretty steep for me, but having said that I will certainly agree that the PH is a superior experience over the Concierge room. You get more room, a walk in closet, a butler, specialty dining in your room any night you want it as well as a few more perks. Since it's your first time I'd say go for it.
  6. Did you expect it to be?
  7. Just a couple of points to your post. 5:00 is not an option. Usual opening time is 6:30. Our recent cruise had almost half of the ship as new to Oceania. The GDR usually had a line at 6:30 but it went quickly. The Terrace was also busy most nights, Specialties not so much until later in the cruise when people realized they could get extra nights. So it's not chaos, and the line is not terrifically long. Keep in mind these are not large ships, at max only about 1250 passengers.
  8. Isn't it at the front end of the GDR where the waiters go in and out and then it goes down to the Galley?
  9. Or even closer to your sail date just check your final documents. Don't forget that at 21 days before your cruise you have the online check-in, this is where you select your time to check in at the Terminal. This is also when you get the boarding pass.
  10. I'm pretty sure that's a new thing for the UK cruisers. Since they like everything figured into the bill I'd say it's a good change for them. Surely you're not advocating for people to adjust their gratuities? Why do you think the change was made to have it included in the fare for them? In answer to your question, I think people from another country cannot book with a US TA, except for Canadians, and they're almost like people from the US, except nicer. Now if they have a US address it might be different, not sure how close they cross reference with passports.
  11. In fairness to the OP after 25 cruises with Oceania I'm sure they knew what to expect. My guess would be that after being treated unfairly in their opinion they looked for everything they could complain about on the trip.
  12. Don’t think I’ve ever seen 4, but I’d like to.
  13. I wouldn't worry, I checked your cruise and they're not having one.
  14. The key is that they are saying they PAID for what SM didn't cover, and still didn't have the tours. Something sounds off. I've had my times adjusted from what I selected, but never no reservations for tours that I booked.
  15. I hate to be this poster, BUT, have you filed with your insurance for a refund. I'm pretty sure most travel insurance has a luggage component.
  16. One thing that was touched on is that the time the room is ready and the time you can board are two different things. Read Tunamans post again.
  17. We were eating in Polo on my Birthday once and they brought a cake. The funniest thing is they had my middle name on it. No body uses my middle name, maybe they put it on the cake because it's shorter than my first name. We have no idea why they did it. Of course they have files on all of us.
  18. Yeah, that's a pretty big temperature swing there. 🙄 Did they stock any A & W Rootbeer for your cruise SR?
  19. Mixed nuts, sometimes peanuts. Chips.
  20. Some people just want Oceania to be Celebrity. That's the way it's laid out in that area.
  21. I noticed that, the sad part is that it was posted in 2018. So obvious. Way too common these days.
  22. Doubt the room numbers are changing, but without looking I would say the rooms are being changed to a more expensive category.
  23. None that anyone can document or source. Sounds good in a made-up scenario though.
  24. Ok, let's stop posting, you first.
