the 3rd prima ship has been delayed a year for a re-design due to feedback from Prima. Viva itself has a good change in that the starbucks next to the Foodhall has been taken out for more seating for the Foodhall. lets hope the new Prima Plus class (or whatever they call it) in 2025 wont create new problems

surprised they still went to bermuda based on weather forecasts. would have thought going to new england instead would have been a no brainer. i was on the joy cruise previous to this one. we re-routed from bermuda to miami because of topical storm that MIGHT become a hurricane. Forcasts for this week said Hurricane WILL be at Bermuda. we got $200 obc per cabin for missing bermuda. anyone know how much the 8/30 Joy pax are getting, if any?

yes you can. you go to the CruiseNext people to book. and as a plus, you can get the cheapest no promo GTY room (ncl normally assigns room at random) and you can PICK your room #! GTY rooms dont have beverage, internet, or dining promos. but it still comes with the $50 shore excursion promo. this is an excellent option for gamblers who made the 2nd casino tier level or higher because they get free drinks at the casino bar

Very welcomed! I was on the Prima as a solo. It got to the point where i just plopped my butt into an empty seat without asking. You were forced to be aggressive to get a seat on Prima. 2) Rotating menus back in mdr the other 5 differences are meh, imo

unlimited basic at $11/day extra is worth it if the promo 150min isn't enough. from my posts above, you can wait and it'll drop to $10/day but paying $11/day is worth it to not keep checking for the upgrade special to pop up

you're a thoughtful wife. i edited my post since your reply with an interesting comment about a singer. the paid version gets you 3 more areas: provisions- how they bring all that food onboard on embarkation day and the different huge freezers where they store it. (bring a sweater, they're cold!) environmental- water quality on board (bathroom sink water same as buffet water from dispenser), making their own fresh water from sea water, disposing of food into the sea, recycling, burning of trash that can't be recycled, etc captain's bridge- don't know if this is done anymore because security concerns NOT worth it without the captain's bridge tour

go do the free ship tour! it's different on each ship. even if it's not, i enjoy doing it on the same ship. i was on the Joy last month and this month. the 2nd time around, i got to ask questions that came to mind AFTER the tour. And one i decided not to ask: Is the production show singer pregnant? 😲 go do the free wine tasting. they are mostly the same 8 wines but sometimes a ship can have 1 or 2 different ones. yes priority. priority embarkation based on highest level in the cabin. not only priory boarding but also priority registration.

definitely no on the ship tour. had this problem on my Joy cruise last week. woman bought her husband, who was gold. the cruisenext person leading the tour nicely explained that each tour is capped at 25 because physical space limitations at some areas in the tour and there's a waiting list of other Platinums and above. Probably the same for wine's event.
