  1. If they do, which I doubt, they'll do to Reflection what they've done to the other Revolutionized S-class ships - just turn the "Solstice Deck" (and probably the current BB court - Reflection is a bit different) into a suite-only area of the ship. Hot tub added, very little shade unless the sun is in the right spot. But I doubt that any part of the Revolution will be dealt with in October, including this feature.
  2. After the last European itinerary earlier in October, expect Reflection to make a trip to Cadiz for dry dock before returning to Barcelona for it's October 31 TA to FLL. One should expect only the regular mechanical maintenance issues to be addressed during dry dock. I would not really expect that Reflection will get the same makeover that Constellation received during its last dry dock, though one can hope. Constellation was due for the Revolution very shortly after the shutdown occurred in 2020, so although that Revolution 'upgrade' never happened, there was already a warehouse full of soft goods ready to install during the Constellation July '21 dry dock at Cadiz. Given that the schedule for the Reflection Revolution was quite a long ways out yet, there's no reason to think that these kinds of goods had already been purchased and warehoused, and given cash flow over the last couple of years, I wouldn't imagine Reflection will be treated to that kind of face lift this October.
  3. For most people, the 'Standard' plan for 2 years is the best value. The password manager and cloud storage can be had in other ways. Data breech doesn't seem to do much.
  4. One exception is a payout on a slot or similar game machine of over $10K. Can't remember why these were exempted.
  5. Depends upon what you mean by 'new'. The FinCen 103 form (last updated in 2007) has been around for at least a couple of decades, and covers all cash-in AND cash-out transactions. Further, if you run multiple transactions to try to get around the $10K rule, the casino is supposed to be aggregating the transactions to watch for daily totals over $10K, and may even file a FinCen 102 against you for 'suspicious activity' if you make a habit of this. Casinos were just too handy a mechanism for doing a little light money laundering back in the day.
  6. I've been successful using Nord by switching on after connection, yes. Used for Comcast connection. Some have reported issues with particular VPN services, and recommended TunnelBear ad a 2nd option.
  7. 3 August, actually. I'm sure that X knows that this cruise will be an "edge case". They've been getting around it on other itineraries by scheduling Bermuda early. Easy enough when Bermuda only appears on itineraries starting in Florida. Westbound TAs are a new can of worms for both X and Bermuda.
  8. That would be some bad advice, and had been explained here many times since the 2 day rule was put into place many months ago.
  9. IMO, it's inexcusable that X's IT system, or that of any other line, even allows cruises with PVSA issues to be booked. This idiocy of a line 'discovering' the problem a couple of weeks ahead of embarkation says that the problem CAN and should be discovered sooner, preferably by having the res system deny the 2nd reservation to begin with. This isn't rocket science. Simple process of coding each itinerary by embarkation and disembarkation locations, and applying a simple rule that an X itinerary cannot follow a Y itinerary.
  10. No, I think the OP has it right -- and is correctly assuming that the pre-cruise test for Barcelona embarkation won't do us any good in Bermuda, and is wondering, given the days between Barcelona and Bermuda, how Celebrity will manage testing aboard within 2 days of our arrival there.
  11. No issues "up here" in Longmont. Pages loading at reasonable speed.
  12. We will be there with you. Too far in the future to know where Bermuda will be with their protocols then. To those talking about not getting off the ship, Bermuda is insisting all go through the hoop if a ship will dock there.
  13. You mean that it eventually zero'd out properly?
  14. Just a hypothetical here, mind you ... Has anyone ever booked a few shore excursions, using OBC for most of it, and a credit card for a bit of a balance that remained, and then received confirmation email for the excursions, and had their credit card billed for the bit that OBC did not cover, and had the transaction showing in the "Order History", and still had the full amount of OBC showing up as available for use days later???
  15. If you're drinking a fair bit of it, watch for a drop in iron levels ... which in itself can cause the fatigue you're trying to avoid.
  16. Have never seen a spa raffle on a Celebrity cruise, but they do always offer discounts for spa treatments for Day 1.
  17. To the contrary, I think most of us here who have cruised with others know each other's online handles pretty well. Think there must be another explanation.
  18. I take it that you tested only because you had an upcoming cruise? Just think. If you hadn't been cruising, you could have infected everyone you met for the next week at the grocery store, restaurants & etc. and never known. The difference is, you don't know if any of those folks were vaccinated. On a cruise, you do. Welcome to omicron. Cognitive dissonance in viral packaging. I think I'll find something to sell just for an excuse to trademark that one.
  19. "Evades" might a bit strong, but they are reporting about a 1/3 of the response to these variants vs. that to BA1 and BA2, which is certainly significant. The good news is that even so, the report advises "However, it is likely that vaccine immunity will still provide substantial protection against severe disease with BA4 and BA5."
  20. I think you're mistaking your impression for the 'no plastic bottle' rule. Pax are bringing cans of soda onboard all the time.
  21. No, still available in the online planner for all cruises. Sounds like another IT glitch.
  22. Amongst the unvaccinated AND those with no acquired immunity, yes, the R values for mumps and measles is as high as it is for omicron. HOWEVER Neither mumps nor measles are easy re-contracted and spread by vaccinated or otherwise immune individuals. That's why you don't see either of these diseases spreading rapidly on a cruise ships. Totally different situation, and not a good comparison. Vaccine efficacy is VERY different between the classic MMR trio and these current COVID products.
  23. The difference, relevant to both of your last two posts, is that COVID, particularly omicron, can be 'caught' and spread by people who have already been vaccinated and/or previously contracted it, all while being asymptomatic. That's what makes this bug particularly annoying.
