  1. Am also going to assume you're really leaving for North America via KEF. Last time we did it, the quickest and most reasonably priced way was KEF - SEA - DEN on Iceland and Alaska.
  2. Speaking of 11%, I'd swear I heard that these were 11% bonds?!
  3. Carnival does, after all, have a bit of a reputation as of late. It's gotten to the point where several days ago, the line instituted a $500 fine for excessive 'rowdiness': https://www.msn.com/en-us/travel/news/carnival-cruise-line-will-fine-passengers-24500-for-rowdy-behavior/ar-AA12InEP
  4. Part of the package: https://www.amazon.com/Celebrity-Luggage-Tag-Holders-Cruise/dp/B07WPW9MJH
  5. Yup. What you Yup. What you didn't show are the nearly indestructable 'aircraft' wires with which they're attached. I'd expect to see a suitcase handle come off before one of these things came loose.
  6. Holy cow - I GUESS! Looked at Royal Suite prices: 1/14/24 RS = $10,918 pp 1/21/24 RS = $ 5,757 pp 1/28/24 RS = $ 9,703 pp We don't do 7 night cruises, but the B2B price certainly goes up in a hurry, doesn't it?
  7. Great news, Ruth! Good for her! She really knows how to make a team function smoothly. Please give her our thanks again for her service in Luminae. Tell her it was the Andersons on the Connie restart and say "Goat Cheese Souffle" and she'll know right away!
  8. I didn't take it that he was blaming either - rather, putting each on notice about how he felt treated by Customs in Italy such that they'd be aware of the incident. @Neecy808 Can you clarify a bit on your comment "It appears that Celebrity had 'no tax requirement for this particular week for purchases made onboard'." Were all of the items in question all manufactured in the EU? If so, are you aware of the concept of "EU Returned Goods Relief"? This only covers unmodified EU manufactured goods. The Tiffany & Co. item was quite possibly not EU production, and for that reason, Customs would have good reason to assume it to be dutiable. You would have needed to document the country of manufacture (somewhere in the EU) to avoid scrutiny, and that document should have accompanied your purchase onboard if this were the case.
  9. @WestLakeGirl @Steve H Have not seen the option on the Celebrity website for having 3rd guests not on the same rate plan (AI or Sail Only) as the first 2 guests for a booking. When starting the booking process, one selects whichever rate plan is available, and adds guests from there. How is this accomplished? Can a TA or Celebrity agent manage this sort of transaction for a 3rd guest instead? ETA: See below Jeremiah1212's comment. If anyone would know, he'd be the one.
  10. Third passenger gets a price break regardless of age.
  11. Here's a couple of articles. NCL has the only mass market ship (Pride of America) flagged in the U.S. which allows it to do Hawaii-only cruises. https://thepointsguy.com/guide/what-is-the-jones-act-for-cruise-ships/ https://www.cruiselawnews.com/2011/09/articles/flags-of-convenience/why-cant-you-cruise-from-one-us-port-to-another-us-port/
  12. Our grandson took his first steps on an M class ship .. at full price!
  13. Am fascinated by the moments when it appears staff has the autonomy to operate in their own fashion, with some substantial ship to ship differences for the 'big things', and by comparison, those moments when they are suddenly beholden to Miami for their guidance on relatively trivial issues such as this. Hmmm...
  14. Pro-rata quarantine refund is covered for sailings through 30 April 2023.
  15. When is the cruise? Makes a difference. For current cruises, you receive a prorated refund for your days in quarantine.
  16. Someone with 3000+ Captain's Club points.
  17. Definitely MUCH less likely to witness a slugfest on the pool deck, but as others have noted, different demographic than longer cruises. That said, you'll no doubt enjoy the experience. Totally different vibe, partly due to lack of someone yapping on the PA all day!
  18. Have a great trip. We were scheduled on the two prior Connie WB TAs that were cancelled. If they hadn't switched up ports from Barcelona to Rome for this year's WB TA, we would be right there with you and some other folks we know on that cruise, but we really wanted the Barcelona embarkation port. We'll be on Reflection 9 days later right behind you, also with 'the kids' for the first time.
  19. We note that you started another thread asking when Celebrity would release 2024 itineraries. I'm confused.
  20. That leaves out the 'mass market' lines altogether (your last bullet point assures that). Which of the alternatives have all of you chosen?
  21. Valencia is supposed to have a great oceanographic museum. We're giving it a try in a couple of weeks.
  22. One would hope that someone self-quarantining would request drop-off service for towels and food, but.
  23. Pro-rata refund of the cruise fare for the days spent in quarantine.
  24. In Cozumel, we call that a "Señor Frog's" event. Always stand port side and listen to the 'count down'. Have seen it miss zero a few times.
  25. Might raise a few red flags at the top of the gangway when you tried to disembark with your luggage. Likely to be questioned at that point.
