On Celebrity Equinox quarantined in my cabin with Covid
Covepointcruiser replied to Flyonby's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We also pack tissues, without the box. Our favorite brand is so much better on the nose than ship or hotel furnished tissues. -
Men's "average day" Dinner Attire.
Covepointcruiser replied to jchipgcs's topic in Seabourn Cruise Line
Guess if you want to dress as a lady, you could wear heeled dressy sandals. Don’t believe Seabourn would discriminate against cross dressers or those in drag. -
Seabourn Air Inclusive starting 2022
Covepointcruiser replied to texanaust's topic in Seabourn Cruise Line
The big question for those of us with three cruises booked in 2023 requiring air travel is, is there even a program to be discussed with Seabourn? I know many months ago they did a survey, so does that mean there is a program? -
On Celebrity Equinox quarantined in my cabin with Covid
Covepointcruiser replied to Flyonby's topic in Celebrity Cruises
As long as you have a good supply of tissues to cover your coughs or sneezes most passengers won’t mind. Anytime you sneeze or cough you are spewing your mucus into the air to be unwillingly received by those around you. Even if you don’t believe you are sick your mucus will contain bacteria and viruses that can make others sick. Please use tissues! -
Seabourn Air Inclusive starting 2022
Covepointcruiser replied to texanaust's topic in Seabourn Cruise Line
We have also received countless brochures from Seabourn for 2022 and 2023 with no air included. Does Seabourn even realize they are now including air with the cruise fares? -
Surprised that plastic bottles are coming back. Have we solved the environmental problems caused by plastic bottles?

Celebrity Air from UK to Europe - Lufthansa or Vueling?
Covepointcruiser replied to NeroliGirl's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We have flown Lufthansa and it is fine. They are typically on time and professional. -
Seabourn Air Inclusive starting 2022
Covepointcruiser replied to texanaust's topic in Seabourn Cruise Line
We have three cruises booked and have heard nothing from Seabourn about including air and excursions. -
Cunard also sails out of Brooklyn. Regular, Britannia cabins are similar to non Retreat cabins on Celebrity. Britannia Club is similar to Aqua and Princess Grill to Sky Suites. Queens Grill is similar to the upper Suite Levels on Celebrity. Sailings from the U.S. in suite cabins include drinks, tips and internet. Folks do dress for dinner in the restaurants and the Gala evenings are formal.

AK will need to be very patient now that he/she lodged a complaint with their credit card. There is no sense in contacting Cunard now he/she has notified the credit card bank.

Silversea crossing are, in fact, not crossings but repositioning cruises and are the least expensive way to travel on Silversea. The OP traveled in a certain category of stateroom with dining in the beautiful, yet mass market dining room. This category of travel on Cunard is mass market yet you still can enjoy the beautiful ship with everything she offers. We have never had a problem with internet on the QM2 but we were not streaming video or attempting to upload much. Boarding any ship these days can be problematic because of COVID.

Edge Transatlantic Testing positive for Covid
Covepointcruiser replied to bananavan's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I was not being sarcastic. As a vegan, I guess I would starve in isolation even if I came from a suite. I would be calling a lawyer! -
Edge Transatlantic Testing positive for Covid
Covepointcruiser replied to bananavan's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I still find it unbelievable that bananas husband was denied vegetables and salad. What if he was a vegan or vegetarian? Would he have been denied any food. -
Very sorry about to hear about his death. He was a decent man and will be missed.

Southern Caribbean Millennium with Teens
Covepointcruiser replied to Aj101's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Spring Break cruises will have many children and teenagers. Celebrity has no activities such as the flow rider, water slides, bumper cars etc. If you believe they would prefer activities like that go with Royal. -
Edge Transatlantic Testing positive for Covid
Covepointcruiser replied to bananavan's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Don’t no why banana’s husband was denied vegetables. We have seen the photos of meals offered in room service and have definitely seen photos of salad and broccoli and broccolini. It’s not right that this gentleman was singled out for this treatment especially since he was in a suite and could also order from Luminae -
Pre-owned handbags in shops onboard-were others aware?
Covepointcruiser replied to Shami's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Even accounting for inflation my Rolex bought in 83, is selling for twice what I paid for it. I am sure the current shortage of new Rolex watches has also helped the market for used watches. If you have a Rolex you know the outlandish prices for service including the required maintenance. I have to travel an hour to get to an authorized seller and they send the watch to an authorized maintenance facility. In six to eight weeks you will get your watch back (pre-COVID). -

I would keep your one and only LV bag for occasional use so it will retain its value. There are only a few stores selling new LV bags. You can buy them at LV stores, at Saks and Neimans. Don’t know about the other stores. You can’t get the new ones by ordering on line, you have to go to the store to see them and select what you want. New bags are never sold at secondary sources. If you are buying them anywhere else you are buying fake ( if they are inexpensive) or used if they are expensive. -
Reflection - anyone been on it this year?
Covepointcruiser replied to go.without.you's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Wow, you got a bargain for the Reflection Suite, little more than $1K a day assuming a seven day cruise. When we sail in premium suites we usually pay over 10K per person for a 14 day cruise. Is there a reason they were selling the best suite on the ship for this price? Is it because of the shortage of personnel? -
Cold meds are banned in some countries. I would be careful if you are taking Tylenol (paracetamol) and are also drinking alcohol. The combination is very toxic for your liver. My sister has seen folks hospitalized with liver failure after having several drinks and taking Tylenol. As you get older it is even more of a strain on your liver. There are now warnings on the bottles. DayQuil and NyQuil also contain Tylenol. It’s hidden in a lot of medicines.

Silhouette May 7 Norway cruise, Covid count?

Whosh should check Jim and Iiams thread. They have listed several British companies that will get you a COR so you can travel home. -
Suite problem, trying to get corporate to listen?
Covepointcruiser replied to djh's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Even pre COVID, we found the service from the Butlers to be sub par. One Butler per 10 cabins, in ordinary times, is not enough. This is especially true with Penthouses and above cabins who expect events such as sail away parties, cocktail parties and dinner parties. One per 10 suites is just not enough. We last traveled in a RS and had no Butler service because of the demands of other suites. We did receive an apology but staffing has never been sufficient for the suites. -
Celebrity should do what Cunard is now doing. They are canceling the booked voyages of a number of passengers because of staffing issues. They have stated they simply can’t provide the level of service they want unless they decrease the passenger loads. Hope I am not one of the ones facing a canceled voyage in December.
