  1. One thing is the size of the cabin. Bigger cabins means few cabins on Explora then Vista. Many things are priced by area. Houses, office space, etc. I guess I don't get how you don't understand that some people want larger cabins.
  2. I can understand Canadians being price conscious as $500USD is ~$680CDN
  3. The 2 ships are basically the same size, but Vista has 150 more cabins by making them smaller. I agree, generally, the smaller the cabins the lower the price.
  4. So you waited until all the sales were over, or are you using CDN.
  5. I have 2 Explora cruises booked as a solo (so a higher pp than double occupancy) at $420 and $463 per day and both in OT2 cabins. They would have been $363 and $370 pp/pd double occupancy and less in an OT 1.
  6. This is a P2P solo, I did not pay in full as the discount was only 5% (25% deposit), and I was booking more than a year out. I paid with chase sapphire reserve which offers good cancellation insurance free with use. So, I ended up in an aft facing prem veranda for $479/nt.
  7. Just mention one more time, I book direct.
  8. see post #10 i.e. US (FL)
  9. Keep in mind larger only mean deeper.
  10. It appeared in the attachment to the email I got from guestconfirmation@silversea.com that was "Your Voyage Confirmation" and appears to be sent from my SS travel consultant. I booked direct.(It didn't appear on my "invoice" email attachment, it was on my "confirmation" email attachment)
  11. On my actual confirmation of a P2P it says there is a 15% penalty for cancelling 151* and then below it explains the * * This fee will be converted to a future cruise credit (FCC) redeemable on a new booking made up to 2 years after cancellation, on any sailing commencing no later than one year after the expiry date of the FCC.
  12. For me, spending time, especially with 2nd person, in a 215 sqft cabin w/o a balcony is not really an option anyhow.
  13. I had a creaky aft facing cabin and moved to a midship one. There was no significant difference in motion. I found Nova (on a TA) to be extremely stable.
  14. Have any of you having problems not made your initial booking through a travel agent?
  15. I made an FLL reservation too...Thanks "encounterd with the Avis shuttle to the port location is lack of cars early in the day." was that multiple times or just once?
  16. TAP Amex Credit Card is currently offering enough bonus miles for a one way, maybe 2. I got mine in less than 60 seconds. The Intercontinental Lisbon is currently only about $250/nt for the dates b4 the TA, so I may not even use pts. I have that cruise booked as a solo for only a little more the $400 nt (prem veranda).
  17. What's the easiest way to get a rental car when you get off a ship in ft lauderdale? Thanks
  18. Mine was a CDC 6400 in the mid 60's. Actually, I have never had a problem, and have been on one and booked 3 more all online.
  19. https://online.fliphtml5.com/subhq/mrim/#p=243 you can see, like, for example, in the penthouses, when there is a difference in sqft they show it, but all OT's are the same size
  20. I had a DP booked (as a solo), but when the black friday sale came, the OT prices were to good to pass up. I went from >$1k/nt to $400's/nt, so I booked 3 cruises. BTW, the $200 cancelation fee was applied to my new cruise.
