  1. I agree, plus mia/fll is probably longer than you might think....it's about a 4 hour flight. Also, I recently booked a flight BGI-MIA-MCO and it was cheaper than the same BGI-MIA flight. There are lots of west coast to mco flights.
  2. It's a new ship and new cruise line and it's on it's inaugural cruise. If you have read all the threads, you know as much as anyone.
  3. It seems like a lot of people just take their TA's word on things. When things go right it's because of the TA, when things go wrong it's because of the cruise line.
  4. The agent was able to use the promo 2 cat upgrade and 500 euro obc a second time. A TA I originally contacted said it could only be used once. The upgrade was from a Ocean Grand Terrace (GT) to a deluxe penthouse (DP) which saved ~3+K USD. The EJ agent did the same upgrade on my first cruise, even, though I had it booked before the promo became available, so you might say saved another ~3+K.
  5. My EJ agent is awesome and saved me thousands. She advised me I could transfer my reservation to a TA, but I would have to go through that TA from then on instead of her.
  6. I email my CC so she can research my inquiry. She always calls back with the answer the same day. It's all a TA does too.
  7. Thanks, that's what I thought...
  8. I can't find anything, just your estimate would be appreciated....
  9. So, how long are the pools you are referring to?
  10. So you think there is a pool long enough to swim lengths? I really hope your right, but I have never been on a ship with a pool long enough to actually swim. The sliding roof pool maybe OK, but it looks like one end has stairs the whole width.

The higher the price of the cruise, the bigger the commission.
  12. Hope the TAs will follow the dress code and not hog the pool chairs
  13. Explora cost 600M USD for 461 cabins, where the new Silversea Nova, also just delivered, cost 205M for 363 cabins. i.e 1.3M per cabin compared to 565K per cabin. Should be pretty nice!
  14. It doesn't seem the problem was with the shipyard.
  15. Yeah, you're right. What was I thinking? Lift and shift is way different than cancelling and rebooking, and a way more common description.
  16. Right, but you would cancel the one you have and rebook. MSC actually rebooked this one for, and it is showing in my MSC account.
  17. My 5/5/2024 (4nt Seashore from Port Canaveral) was changed to 6/10/2024 which doesn't work for me so I requested cancellation.
  18. Even if you find a cruise for 1, sometimes the higher level cabin selections show sold out. I wanted to try the YC, and did find/book one that took a single in a YC, but it's next May.
  19. I don't think they are all the same; sapphire reserve is 10k pp. The upside is not paying for cancellation ins.
  20. If you have (and pd for you cruise with) a premium CC, the trip cancellation/interruption/medical/lost bag insurance is pretty good. I use Chase Sapphire Reserve or Amex Hilton Aspire.
  21. they are (mostly) all like this including 16019
  22. Every P2P SS cruise I have checked offers only Verandah Suites (and below).
