I heard that Darko was Concierge on Majestic -
Ohhh, the way you phrased it was a bit confusing.

Happy for you!! Have the best time! -
I'm getting confused by all of the "aka Sheldon Cooper" references. I'm familiar with the show, but a lot of the references don't track for me...?

Personal preference is the side facing Penthouse Suites. They do have some overhang, and while they do not have the "throw a party for the neighborhood" balcony, they have an interior layout that feels much more spacious to us than the aft-facing, with the bedroom being open to the living room (curtain can be pulled to separate them). If you go with the Riviera Deck, you'll also be close to the Concierge Lounge, always a plus, especially if the ship is fairly full, and you want a little oasis of calm to enjoy a cocktail and a little nosh.

I'm going for a black and gold dress for that same reason 🙂

I had ordered it the first time we had a suite, forgetting that we got it each day with the suite; I started realizing that our water was "having babies".😆

Some people see value in other elements of the package 🥂

How many times did you do it when it was free? -
I remember last year, on here, someone was sailing in Australia, and was cheesed that there were 20 Americans on an Australian cruise in Australian waters but there wasn't a traditional American Thanksgiving dinner offered. Not sure if they asked for one, but I know that we aren't expecting it this year on Majestic (she'll have been doing Oz/New Zealand runs for a couple of weeks when we board for November). If we were stateside, I'd have different expectations, but...

I may be an outlier, but I do screenprints on my phone of all my travel docs, including the GCs that I take for OBC. Then they're on my phone in tidy little folders (I have the Galaxy Z-Fold so it's easy to read at Guest Services, airports, etc). 🙂

My only additional point would be that you would have unlimited non-alcohol drinks as well (specialty coffees, bottled water, etc)

Great timing! Today on the TA webinar they discussed at length, and the gentleman in charge of Cruise Directors overall was quite detailed. There will be trees, decorations, holiday caroling in the piazza, storytime for the kiddos on Christmas Eve, gingerbread house competition (I believe Christmas Eve or Day), ornament making, holiday shows from Dec. 8, and many more!
-
You DO get a return though, in OBC every time we cruise 🥰, your TA, assistant, and whatever other title I have this week, makes sure that it's applied Same, and we'll keep doing it! We're also not the ones who "don't spend onboard", even though we're seasoned cruisers. We buy the package, etc., so no, no liability here. 😄

Also, make sure that if you're flying and your flight has ANY layover in New Zealand, you will need an in transit New Zealand visa.

Did you attend, or is this based on reports?
