For us Princess wins the suites, but not for the reasons that people might think. We are simple folk and easy to please, so we prefer to NOT have the butler service, and just really enjoy the extra open space of the Riviera Deck side facing PH suites, like the one that you have booked. We also love the Concierge Lounge. The staff is amazing, and, especially if the ship is full and bustling, it's a great oasis of peace to relax and escape.

And the price of goods at the grocery has gone up a good bit too in the last few years...

And in true Cruise Critic fashion, people are happy to point out why your son should NOT do something, especially if it's an extra cost; keep in mind that the average age on here is definitely not that of your son (my apologies to those who have posted, but let's give the guy some support)... If your son thinks that he'd like to do this, more power to him! We did a vow renewal on a ship (I planned it and surprised my husband with it). Best money spent, as we loved it, treasure the memories and the pictures.🥂

And the TA comm on packages is only 10 %, not some "larger" amount that certain people have been speculating about... 🙂 It's actually less than the commission that is made on cruise fare

Also, the Princess gift cards have the least restrictive uses of any of the cards that I know of; for example, some of the others have caveats, such as not being able to be used onboard for onboard credit, I believe, or limit the amount to be used... (disclaimer: I do not remember the exact restrictions previously discussed, just that they were there :D)

It is, and it's delightful. The Club Class is a sectioned off part of the MDR, with spectacular service and little or no wait time. Enjoy it!!

One other consideration: if you're sailing out of Oz: your OBC will be converted straight USD to AUD 1:1 so you may lose money on the deal depending on what the pricing on the package onboard is sold as, USD or AUD...

Are you sure it's Princess and not AARP? AARP is the vendor...

Just a question... I believe Majestic has Ocean Terrace Bar, but I'm not sure that they serve food at all...?

You can do the upgrade when you get onboard. The general rule is the OBC can only be used onboard, other than for excursions.
