    Think of it more as a placeholder reservation than a courtesy one.

    It's more likely just a reconfiguration of room categories at an administrative level, not any actually changes to rooms themselves.

    No one else can answer this question but you since you are the one drinking. If you will drink (alcoholic and non) more per day than you paid for the package, then it's worth it. If not, then it's not worth it.

    They charge what they charge because that's what people are willing to pay. No need to offer value if you can sell it at a premium.

    That's not a safe assumption. Always check your table number when you board (it'll be listed in the app once you connect to ship wifi) then if you're not at the same table, go to the head waiter and request a change.

    Air2Sea is definitely more attractive for international flights than domestic

    Though if you're out of cell tower range by the time you get a decision that'd be pretty annoying.

    Several cruise lines tender in Sitka but RC docks a few miles out of town, then you bus in.

    There's no real connection between when you book a cruise and when you book a flight. Just be careful if you book a business class flight that has a connection. They sometimes will book you in economy (at business class prices) for one of the legs and not tell you.

    I haven't been on Explorer in a long time but at least they've changed the layout and upgraded chairs.

    Is Explorer the only ship left with the suite lounge in the windowless room midship?

    The solution should be that you need to reserve any chair. Reserve a chair, you get it for 2 hours. You can renew at the end of the 2 hours. But if your reserved chair is seen empty the entire 2 hours, then you cannot renew it.

    No one ever *needs* a drink package to get a drink, alcoholic or not. Want to get your 3 yr old a mocktail? Just pay for it a la carte.

    I must be the only one who doesn't like those cookies. They're usually so overcooked and dry

    They have about 12 days of menus for longer cruises.

    MTD is merely when you eat, not what.

    I haven't seen a white party in years. Sometimes there's a white night, but hardly anyone dresses in white.

    It's been like this since the new menus came out. That said the menu that would show for your cruise is NOT the menu for your cruise anyway. It's the menu for that ship's current cruise. So if you really need to see a menu, view that ship's current sailing.

    I've enjoyed them, but it's nothing different than you'd get at Red Lobster
