  1. Well sure. I'm just saying as suite prices go up (and will continue to on the new ships), that tiny deposit for a large purchase is more easily brushed off if you decide not to cruise.
  2. Everything service-related that you buy includes gratuities.
  3. The odds of booking a suite which costs enough for the 10% to kick in is a lot higher now, especially for the new ships. Book a 15k suite, but pay $500 deposit, forfeiting that $500 seems a drop in the bucket.
  4. There is no correct answer. Tip what you are comfortable with, whether it's $0 or $100
  5. Absolutely, since FCCs are at the individual level.
  6. 600 PInnacles? Gonna be a lot of old ladies and swelled egos. I kid! Sort of.
  7. I would be curious how close to their schedule arrival time that people are showing up. RC has this data. If too many people are showing up too early, it doesn't seem to be making a big impact.
  8. If you're even considering Icon after looking at that price, then do Icon
  9. The only time I got a reduced deposit for a suite via nextcruise was when it was a short 4-night trip
  10. So this only comes into play if your suite costs more than $2500pp.
  11. Are you allowed to take it with you or do they put it aside and deliver it to the ship so you don't drink it while on the island?
  12. My last cruise on Jewel had a rather impressive veteran's ceremony.
  13. Semantics, but you meant that the app doesn't need an internet package to work
  14. The muster station crew will give you all the info you need if you didn't watch the video.
  15. Just go to the muster station. There's nothing you need the app for, though having it can make things easier.
  16. No holes. Just stop at guest services if you need a hole punched.
  17. RC does yes, and your travel agent should, too. My TA just forwards the RC invoice, but others have their own invoice document.
  18. I won $10 once using my $6 D+ credit. I walked away quite happy.
  19. No hair dryer? Someone probably stole it along with a pool towel.
  20. We did that last Christmas for my son. We were visiting relatives first, so we packed an extra suitcase when he was at school with summer/cruise stuff. On the flight "home" our son didn't pick up on the fact something was amiss until the pilot gave his first update about how long it would take to get to Orlando. He about lost it and thought we were joking.
  21. Advising captains was never the reason they hired him. It was a PR/marketing hire to show RC was serious about the weather and to have someone to talk to passengers, not officers.
