I believe that you are right. Smoker go there to smoke and play. Some just to smoke. That pushes all the non smokers out. I would play more if it were non smoking.

I have traveled with 2 small rolling (carry-ons) The reason for two is that when I took a back pack etc, it was so heavy when filled. So what ever was in the backpack I just put into and carry-on rolling case. I used the smallest on I could find that fit my stuff. I did not want to carry the bag, rolling was easier. As for the one with the clothing, I got clothing that was light weight and folded flat. I was surprised in what I could fit into the case. Even the room steward said to me when he saw my closet, "you fit all that in the one case". This was no princess where the walk in closet is open, no doors.

Thank you for taking the time to post. Your cabin looks wonderful. I haven't been on HAL in a few years. My last HAL cruise we canceled because of covid. It was the last time that our ship went out before close down. Your cabin has nice seating. Much better than Princess who only gives one chair to share in balcony cabins and down.. Are you able to get a blanket for the deck chair if it is cold?

I am happy to hear that they moved you. BUT I think they should have moved you to your new cabin right away. They had the empty cabin, they knew it. Instead you had to sleep in another cabin and go on land think about what was going to happen, when you got back on board. Just my thoughts.

Sorry to hear about your cabin. Can they give you another cabin for the rest of your cruise?

Years ago there was a agency called singles world (out of business now), I think it was in the 1970"s that a friend of mine and I sailed with them. We shared a cabin with two other girls. It did cut the cost down. we had a great time,. They would put you in a shared cabin with some one. They also had a host on board. We all ate together at tables next to each other in the dining room. We did go on sure together too, if you wanted too.

If you used a travel agent I would call them. If not call HAL.

I use a credit card where I can. I also call my credit card company to let them know that my card will be used outside the country on a cruise. And not to allow any large charge with out checking with me.

I am sorry to heard that you had to move from your cabin. The new cabin that they gave you was it as good as the cabin you left? Happy to read that over all you had a great cruise.

I agree under stitching the scallops would have been a hair puller. A decorative stitch was the way to go.

Looks great. I have made unwanted cuts ion some of my clothing. Most time I so a machine embroidery over the slit. Have you done under stitching? I started to use that in some case instead of top stictching.

Looks beautiful. What size/type needle did you use on your machine?

I don't know if you can do this, but can you push back your cruise for three weeks, so your child can go to Camp Discovery?

I have a lot of sweatshirt fabric zip hoodies. But I really don't like the hoods. I then make the hood into a collar.

Are you sure that it was maintenance? He could have just said that he was. I would report it.
