  1. Thank you for the response. I went ahead and booked one of the day beds closer to the bar. It's been a while since I've gone somewhere new in Cozumel so looking forward to this adventure.
  2. Any thoughts about the best location of day beds? Not sure if my toddler would prefer the ocean or pool but thinking pool. It also appears the cost for them has gone up to $70.
  3. It doesn't happen often, but a reminder for everyone who books the cheaper early morning flights that ship delays can happen even if someone sat around 2 hours before their 9 AM flight the cruise before.
  4. My wife and I love when they have live music in central park ... generally a solo classical guitar act or something like that.
  5. As IceChick shared there is a NASA tour combined with a drop of at IAH. I don’t think they offer this option with a HOU departure. The tour doesn’t mention how late your flight would need to be but I’d say potentially after 2 or 3 for a domestic flight.
  6. Generally Hibachi and Chef's Table are excluded or upcharged every dining deal ... with more on Icon excluded as well I'm sure. 🙂
  7. The flow is actually pretty easy to understand once you get onboard and orient yourself to the different neighborhoods. Only thing you will have to remember is that only the aft elevators (ones nearest guest services in the promenade) will go up to deck 18 and your cabin.
  8. Yes, you can get the free drinks on the first day. The waters are the smaller bottles (~500 ml?).
  9. I think there are some potential areas of difference between US and other bookings including cancellation policies, gratuities, etc ... not that there necessarily are in this case, but something to make sure you take a look at when comparing prices and what is best for you.
  10. We have a JS booked for our upcoming cruise and I was able to ask my TA for several adjustments before final payment.
  11. I've used RomeinLimo many times and have always been happy with them. However, as bonsai3s mentioned above, this can be done very easily on your own for an extremely low price ... it just depends if you want to be responsible for navigating the train schedules and are feeling adventurous. My first time going to Rome I bought a BIRG, saw lots of things, and put about 20 miles in.
  12. The TA has to make the call for you. This can get hairy when a) it might be less commission and b) it takes time to contact them and then for them to contact Royal. Forward thinking the commission shouldn't be an issue, but have run into issues in the past.
  13. Full suites will get an email a week before the sailing from a suite concierge and you can make CK reservations at that time ... you'll have to discuss with them about whether they will include the Jr. Suite in that reservation since it does not get full suite perks. The concierge will also make show reservations though you can also do this yourself through the app/website about a month before the cruise.
  14. What is the best way to book this? Directly from the resort or the various booking sites that come up on Google.
  15. The only spa appointments fully discounted on my sailing are on embarkation day. Otherwise it varies based on sea or port day.
  16. Around 1 or so. I’m not aware of early drop off except for star class or maybe Key.
  17. I put our away each morning on Allure. This was one of my pet peeves with cut service in addition to trash service while my son was still in diapers.
  18. As an fyi, you have to book a full suite for suite benefits (ie, not a junior suite). The concierge will email you the week before and ask about reservations for meals. I like coastal kitchen and being able to eat there for every meal is a nice perk (reservations only needed for dinner). The menu changes for dinner every night. The lunch menu rotates a few times. Breakfast is the same every day. There is a section with reserved seating for shows as long as you get there more than 10 minutes before the start when they open it up to everyone. If you go all out with star class and a genie, then they will reserve seats for you at the front of the house.
  19. I believe it started with Quantum of the Seas. As others have said, I think it was to facilitate roaming check-in. I think back then they just had one card in the envelope and the others along with WOW bands were placed on the bed in the room.
  20. You can always try. I’ve been able to cancel the reward redemption if they cannot apply it in the past.
  21. Sorry about the dud recommendation. 😞 I just remember fine great baristas on my last cruise who were very quick, friendly, and wanted to rate my coffee I bought on shore.
  22. My favorite place to grab a coffee or smoothie is Vitality Cafe at the entrance of the spa (assuming, haven’t been on Wonder yet). Generally much better lines than anything on the promenade in other Oasis ships in my experience.
  23. Oldest: Sovereign of the Seas Newest: Harmony Favorite: Harmony Got engaged to my now wife on Harmony which was her first cruise. Planning on revisiting her next year.
  24. We paid $40/pp in April for a transfer to IAH. There was quite a line and a little bit of a wait on the pier.
  25. Those rewards have been finicky with me. They should be able to determine it is a "new booking" without relying on if it is past final payment. I've had a couple randomly refused though one was because my TA booked me into a group rate and I didn't realize it.
