Just lookin at our weekly shopping bill here in the UK. Price increases as follows
Eggs +40%
Bread+ 30%
Tomatoes +60% ( if available!)
Chicken +40%
Pasta +80%
I could go on.
So, perhaps the increases in prices are not unreasonable.
Agree with everything you say, apart from keeping the balcony doors open.
Arvia may be different, but normally you are asked to keep your balcony doors shut, as leaving them open causes air conditioning issues for adjoining cabins, and also means that the higher interior air pressure system (part of the fire prevention system) is compromised.
My understanding is that an Americano is basically a black coffee. Therefore no need to ask for it black. Sometimes baristas are not really that au fait with the various types of coffee nomenclature.
I like a strong coffee, but with some milk, so order an Americano with skimmed milk ( looking after my physique !) on the side.
I fully undersrand your rant.
Totally agree, and thank you for a comprehensive reply.
My point was that if an issue about water temperature in a cabin was so serious that the captain had to be involved, it would imply a serious management misfunction.
I'm sure many of us have been involved in daily management operational meetings. As a departmental head, you do not want to explain to your boss why a problem is unresolved.
Thank you. In mitigation, I think I assumed that Jet2 would be used for the summer season as well. In the summer months I assume Jet2 need all their capacity for their own holiday programme.
Thanks - been to all those places numerous times (we lived in Spain for quite a while). We will just walk along the coast from the port to one of our favourite bars.
Yup, I really seem to have dropped the ball on this one !
For some reason I was convinced that Jet2 were carrying out the majority of flights.
I will be sitting on the "naughty step" for the rest of the day.
Agreed. Due to lack of options we are actually cruising this Easter, and will be in Malaga on Good Friday. We will stay well away from the city centre, and plan a coastal walk.
Totally agree. From a passenger point of view, the Hotel General Manager is far more important than the captain.
If you have an issue onboard, the HGM is the one who has the ultimate power to resolve the problem.
