  1. Brydon hasn't been used for five years or so . Please keep up ! Their current marketing campaign is non personality led, and is much more inclusive. And, imho, much better, as the aspirational Brydon campaign was promising something that could not be matched in reality.
  2. Not sure why you say that. Princess Plus costs me £50. Autotips cost me about £12. A glass of decent wine is £15. So, three glasses of wine costs £45, add on the autotips at £12, and my daily cost is £57, which, according to my maths is £7 more than the PP package.
  3. You need to know that this is a survey carried out by a UK consumer group, made up of upper class Brits, and totally unrepresentative of the UK cruising public. The sample size is so small as to be meaningless. Just ignore it.
  4. Time to take a breath. I couldn't care less about desserts, or exercise classes, or wifi. All I know is that if I buy Princess Plus, once I deduct the cost of the autotips, after three glasses of wine, I am ahead of the game. So, why all the continuous discussion ? If you want a Liberace style dessert - go for it. If that is not your cup of tea, just ignore it.
  5. In seven days no one will care less about this survey. I occasionally fill in surveys for Saga. I'm sure I am not alone in occasionally skewing my answers, due to the random nature of the questions. As I intimated earlier, the survey is so flawed that it is worthless.
  6. To be honest Graham, I would have cut my losses and gone home !
  7. Well done. I guess in another 50 years you will catch up with Graham!
  8. Such a small, unrepresentative sample, that it is meaningless. Any statistican worth his salt would chuck this in the bin.
  9. Typo. I think you mean 1 person in the cabin wanted the package.
  10. Would it not be possible for the exteriors to be decorated in advance, and then stored in a fridge until required ?
  11. Which shows perfectly how ephemeral this Godmother nonsense is.
  12. I feel better already ! Now, if I could win £39,899 next month, my Saga African holiday would be paid for.
  13. Well, that's my bubble well and truly popped !
  14. And within five years everyone will have forgotten all about her and the tie in with P&O.
  15. Or even Premium Bonds. Another £100 today- woohoo ! No begging letters please.
  16. Indeed you do ! And for 10 bonus points, what impact have these distinguished ladies had on any cruise you have been on, either on Ventura or Azura ?
  17. Going from other US posts, I think it is insurance. We don't have that issue in the UK, as our policies have a maximum payout per claim if we have to cancel a cruise, (say $10k) so adding on a package normally has no impact on the cost of insurance.
  18. Yes - and buying the stand alone Beverage Package is more expensive than buying it as part of the Plus package. Seems totally illogical. But, as I explained, the benefit of buying the stand alone Beverage package, is that it can be purchased by an individual.
  19. You still haven't said which day of the week you are disembarking. Just to add, that the cut off time for entering the security area is 35 minutes prior your flight. So you will need to have checked in your luggage and be at the security entrance by 10:25 am at the latest.
  20. Surely the Bladerunner soundtrack is an all time classic ?
  21. Princess have made this complicated. If you buy the Princess Plus package, you will pay $60 per day. This package includes the Plus Beverage package. Similarly, if you buy the Premier Package, at $80 per day, the Premier Beverage package is included. Logically, therefore, it makes no sense to buy either of the stand alone drinks packages BUT, the Plus and Premier packages have to be purchased by both adults travelling together. If one adult does not drink alcohol, and drinks little in the way of soft drinks, but the other adult enjoys a few drinks, then economically it just about makes sense for that individual to purchase a stand alone drink package. Hope that sort of makes sense.
  22. In reality, isn't this whole Godmother malarkey just a flash in the pan, designed for publicity purposes, with little long term impact. For ten points each, name the Godmothers of Ventura and Azura.
  23. I very much doubt that. NS is probably less known in the US than here. And what motive would there be anyway ? It's not as if P&O are trying to break into the US market.
  24. Never really known disembarkation start earlier than 7am, regardless of the time the ship docks. The timing is dependent on the ship being "cleared" by the relevant authorities, and this is outside of the control of Princess.
