  1. I realise you can see where it’s being built, but my point was the person asking wouldn’t be able to see Hideaway beach on a map (yet)
  2. We were there on oasis at the same time as ovation. It was fine, although it got busier late morning/ early afternoon, there were still loungers available, didn’t have to wait for food or bar service and managed to get a spot at the swim up bar at south beach. We didn’t go to the pool, so don’t know how busy that was. One thing with 3 ships, the third ship would have to tender as the pier only takes 2. The extra visitors would more likely come from Icon visiting at the same time as an oasis class than from 3 ships.
  3. It’s an appetiser. And in France would also be eaten as dinner.
  4. Have you looked to see what’s available not through the cruise line? Have you looked at the port section on here for ideas?
  5. The positive reviews seem to be from Symphony. I wonder if this is because she was the first ship to trial the new menus and they have had longer to get used to them?
  6. You can browse them in the app but you can’t see prices. On the app click on the calendar and change ship/date. Pick the cruise you’re interested in and click on excursions (I just tested this on a random cruise and it worked). I could see the excursions on offer but not the prices.
  7. Pretty much all the beaches have that. Look at the map of the island and you will see. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/perfect-day-cococay-map The main difference between the two main beaches is quiet vs busier. chill island is quieter, and where the snorkelling is. South Beach has beach sports and the swim up bar and tends to be noisier/ busier.
  8. Have you checked availability on the app? That will show you whether there is high demand for them. Depends how many ships are in port that day.
  9. Yes there are lockers at south beach. We used them when we went to the swim up bar.
  10. There was an issue with a lot of wines not being available on oasis in December. They were having supply issues. from what I saw they had most of the premium spirit brands, and if you want a specific brand I would tell them. There were some reports around the time that some bourbons/ whisky’s were t available, but I don’t drink that so didn’t pay any attention.
  11. It’s rogan josh 😉 the Vidalia onion tart is off the old menu, it’s like a quiche but with lots more onion. Onion tart with bacon is a traditional dish from Alsace, in France.
  12. I had it on oasis in November and really enjoyed it.
  13. https://www.fda.gov/tobacco-products/products-ingredients-components/e-cigarettes-vapes-and-other-electronic-nicotine-delivery-systems-ends#:~:text=To date%2C no e-cigarette,adults who use tobacco products.
  14. Not sure, I think they’re waiting for more research.
  15. Insurance companies class it as smoking. and from a health point of view, they’re starting to see lung problems in vapers (is that the right word??) as they do with smokers. It’s just too early to fully know. There is a lot of concern about the effects of the other chemicals used in them.
  16. My OH works in the field of medical research. He works with people conducting research into the effects of vaping, and whilst not yet conclusive, they’re early unofficial thoughts are it’s just as bad for you as smoking.
  17. Same here. Disappointed they won’t have it when we sail on wonder.
  18. We went to vintages most evenings and it was always nice and quiet in there on our sailing.
  19. Isn’t that on Vancouver island, not in Vancouver?
