  1. And some people are already complaining it isn’t Mexican enough because it’s not just tacos and burritos 😂
  2. It was a great deal and I managed to get it for two sailings. It’s fine up to £60 now and that’s only for European itineraries.
  3. Someone on FB showed a screenshot and their price had gone down by $10 per day today - worth checking.
  4. FYI, someone on FB posted a screenshot earlier and the price for their sailing had dropped $10 per day today.
  5. Sounds like shows are a thing for him, so I would go for harmony and grease over cats on oasis. The amenities are very similar. I agree I wouldn’t pay the extra for wonder on this occasion, when the itineraries and ships are so similar.
  6. You can also watch the aqua show from the deck by the climbing wall or stand at the back near playmakers
  7. The non smoking casino on wonder was supposed to be a high roller casino when it was destined for China, they repurposed it into a non smoking casino when it was redirected. So they clearly don’t think there is a market for a high roller casino outside of Asia. there are a fair number of non smoking gamblers, but fewer than the smokers, so it makes sense the smaller room would be allocated to non smokers. There were lots of happy people when smoking was banned in the casino during covid, so maybe the feedback showed them there is a requirement for a non smoking casino? The current system of smoking and non smoking sides just doesn’t work. I will be in wonder later this year and happy there will be a non smoking casino, just hope it has decent machines.
  8. Surely casino is a salaried job? Other than laundry, I can’t see who else the room attendant would b splitting tips with - certainly not 75% of tips.
  9. Actually this is increasingly common even in some mid-high end hotels. Some offer additional loyalty points if you opt out, others just inform you that’s what they’re doing. It’s a hangover from covid.
  10. So what is covered by “other hotel” then? (Quoting from the breakdown of RC tips, not your carnival screenshot which isn’t relevant to RC).
  11. No that would come out of the dining portion, not room attendant. Look back a couple of pages - they are split out. We’re only talking about the portion of tips allocated to room attendants.
  12. I would have assumed laundry etc came out of “other hotel services”? But don’t know 🤷🏼‍♀️
  13. Vacuum- yes Clean bathroom - yes change sheets - I don’t think so on a 7 day sailing, but not sure. I assume on more than 7 days, yes
  14. You keep saying this. Why would the stateroom attendant only get 25% of the tip that’s for the stateroom attendant?
  15. I’ve seen a number of reports that once a day housekeeping is now rolling out across the fleet - anyone know if this is true? I know it was being trialled in Australia.
  16. We were on oasis last November, so more recently, and it was great.
  17. Sorry to didn’t enjoy 150, that was the best meal we had on Oasis. You might want to give it another chance on a different ship.
  18. Booking on board doesn’t save you any money, it’s just a lower deposit and some OBC. The quotes we got onboard were really expensive, so we paid the deposit but didn’t book the cruise until we got home (it was Black Friday the week after, so prices were much cheaper). You have a few weeks to book after you get back and still get the OBC, you have 12 months to book and not lose the deposit.
  19. Isn’t the extra drinks cost a Bahamas sales tax?
  20. Then I’d pay for it. But a 4 course meal is more than enough for me.
  21. There is still a snorkelling area and I believe the plane is still there
  22. I’d rather they just charge people for a 2nd entree! I don’t want to pay more because other people eat too much.
  23. You’re not paying extra to choose your cabin, you’re getting a discount if you don’t choose it 😉 but yes, it will still cost more to choose your cabin
  24. Also you can just put the deposit down whilst onboard, and book later and still get the perks. We did that last year as we were on just before thanksgiving. The prices we were quoted onboard were really high, so we just paid the deposit and then booked in the Black Friday sale when we got home. Also if you decide to just put the deposit down and book later, you can just do that on the app, you don’t have to deal with the queues at the Next Cruise office.
