  1. I would try and bid on a bigger cabin. Possibly a sky suite?
  2. We are sailing in Europe on the former Ocean Prince. Now called Sirena. Really looking forward to the smaller ship. We sail the entire month of February on the Sky which is almost 6 times as large as Sirena. First time on Oceania and testing the waters.
  3. Take a cab from ship to Panera (only about a 1/2 mile from port.) Have it wait and get it to go. Buy your coffee after you get through security.
  4. 4 weeks beginning Feb 4th on Sky Princess 2 weeks in September on Serina Oceania from Monte Carlo to Venice (first time on an Oceania cruise line)
  5. Are you given an actual coupon book or is this something you need to download?
  6. 2022 - Three weeks - Regal - Caribbean Cruises. We had a wonderful time and have four weeks booked on the Sky in February in the Caribbean. Have to get out of this cold Minnesota weather. 12 inches of snow in past two weeks. My motto is "There is no bad cruise." I've been checking out cruise prices for 2024 - prices have really increased.
  7. As far as room and board go - my last room steward said that they have four crew members in one cabin. I didn't see it so I can only go with his statement.
  8. Usually, you must pay for two people even if flying solo. Sometimes Princess will allow you to pay for one person. You may want to contact your travel agent to see if they can locate cruises without the solo supplement. There is also a website - CruisePlum Solo Deals - which you can review to see cruises from Princess and other lines without the supplement. I've went solo once and enjoyed it. I have another scheduled for February. Princess travelers are generally very friendly and inclusive. Have fun cruising.
  9. It costs $12 to get a meal at McDonalds. Eating at a halfway decent sit-down restaurant is at least $25 a person here in Minneapolis and a whole lot more in places like New York City, LA or Miami. $40 for ribeye is a bargain and since we normally only eat in a specialty restaurant once a week this doesn't really affect our vacation dollars. We have so much OBC to use that we actually never out of pocket. To each thir own.
  10. I tried making a booking but screen freezes up. Very frustrating.
  11. I was able to add my kids to account who were in a different cabin using my credit card. I went to front desk to do this.
  12. I do not bring formal attire on a Caribbean cruise. I do have black pants and two dressy tops for formal nights and do not plan on missing the main dining room just because someone else might be offended by my chosen outfit. In what century is this? I have cruised Princess more than 20 different times and my observation is that less than 20% actually dress in formal attire.
  13. If you're going to the bathroom there is no need for a mask. The fumes kill all viruses.
  14. I have seen people get the Princess Plus the first day of the cruise. It was at the bar on Lido deck.
  15. My luck has been both bad and good. I am elite (whoopy) and my upcoming cruises did not reflect this in the travel summary. I sent an e-mail to my PVP and within two days she had corrected the summary to reflect my correct status (want that mini bar!). Now the bad and sort of good. Last February I was charged with $115 for Chef's dinner. This showed up on my portfolio on the morning we departed. I have sent several emails, used the chat line, and been on hold for over two hours. The first e-mail was in March. Finally, today I received a call from Princess and the person called apologized all over the place for not responding to my e-mails. She offered either a refund or to apply to my next cruise. I chose the latter. She also gave me additional OBC. I truly feel awful for these customer service people. Seems like everything as to get elevated to someone else in the food chain to get any kind of money problems resolved. Just call me the Happy Cruiser."
  16. I'd probably do it. Works out to 500 more each week or 2000 for entire cruise. I don't think I'd make it if I didn't have a balcony for a full month.
  17. ooooooooooooooh no! Here it comes. Wait for all the responses. Everyone has a different view on this. On formal nights I generally wear a dressy blouse and black plants and my DH wears a suit. Many other men wear a nice shirt and pants. Very few wear jeans and generally no shorts. Some dress up in tux and formal dresses. On less formal nights I wear either black pants or capris with a nice blouse. DH wears a nice shirt and docker type pants. Usually last night of cruise is very informal and practically anything goes. I've even seen some in flannel shirts but that is rare. Generally, cruises in Europe are more formal.
  18. My phone number for casino has changed. Does anyone have the current number?
  19. How do you go about getting a passport card?
  20. Do they offer any hot sauce to spice things up?
  21. There are two things I would recommend but I am not sure of the correct titles. First is there is sometimes offered a ship's tour. Get to see everything behind the scene. Given a robe, group picture, personalized stationery, and other goodies. I think we paid $150 each. Second is the winemaker's dinner. We paid $40 per person and it is well worth the money. You are in a secluded section of the dining room and get a different wine with each course. The head guy gives a talk about each wine and each course. Enjoy!
  22. The charges are not treated as cash advances. Gets billed to your account and treated as any other type of expense.
