  1. Tell her to save her money and she too can advance in points lol.
  2. Um, did you see the post above where it talks about a "mix" of categories? I never once said he did it in a particular amount of time, just that if it took 1-2 years, that's a large percentage of a 7 year olds life. Sigh.
  3. Anyone who has mentioned "solo" lol. Seriously? A child cruising solo? HAHA.
  4. Eric has been on for at about 7 months. Time for him to have some time off. As of now, no one seems to know who is replacing him. We had Bobby last April but he's moved on to Oasis and we had Eric in July. We love Bobby and sailed with him on his first contract with Royal on GR a few years ago.
  5. I did say 1-2 years. 350 nights is basically 1 year and 700 is basically 2. One year is 14% of 7 years.
  6. To make Pinnacle you have to cruise 1-2 years so for a child as young as 7 to make it, means having spent 15-30% of his short life at sea.
  7. And, if he does, then that's life. Either he doesn't call and only he can use the status (maybe) or he does and his account gets corrected. IMHO, asking for his wife to get something he doesn't really have is pushing it and it can change his mistaken status also.
  8. No one "earns" their status. Everyone has bought it or has had it bought for them.
  9. I figured this way I'd at least get some grace if I'm wrong.
  10. Does she have a C&A number? It should be on the invoice with her name if she does. All he can do is call the C&A desk and work it that way. I know you want them to have D status, but the reality is, it may and probably will eventually get fixed if it's incorrect. He can check his actual status on the website by logging into his account and checking his cruise history. Also, what does it say on the RCI website? Status shows up at the top of the page when he is logged in.
  11. What are "diamond encrusted diamonds"? DH and I buy a lot of my jewelry in St. Maarten.
  12. TA's can't set anyone's status. Status is set by Royal. If you were gold when he turned 18, then that is his status. If you were diamond when he turned 18, then he is a Diamond .The only way his wife will get his status if if she has a C&A number and they live at the same address. I think this is all correct. I know someone will correct me if it's not.
  13. Publicly, yes it is. Privately, it's used all the time by law enforcement. Profiling has taken a terrible hit by those that throw the bigot/racism word around. That is not what profiling is.
  14. You have to have a BC to go with that DL. DL's do not prove/show citizenship. And, only for US citizens out of the US on closed loop cruises.
  15. Haven't been out of Bayonne in 4 years, but have been out of PC twice in the last 13 months and only saw them near Customs booths.
  16. That's the first thing I thought when I read that post. The facial recognition machines are only in the terminal as you exit the ship, not where you check in.
  17. We don't get the fresh squeezed. Tried it a couple of times and thought it wasn't very good. The free oj offered is pretty good. But, even if it was something I have at home all the time (it's not as oranges themselves is better for you than the juice) I could go days without it, just like other things I don't have while on a cruise or vacation.
  18. That makes sense. We've never cruised over Christmas so I wasn't thinking of that.
  19. Normally it's night 2 and night 7 on an 8 night cruise. We've done over a dozen cruise out of Baltimore on GR and EN and it's always night 2 and then the next to the last night (so night 11 on a 12 night, night 7 on an 8 night). Who said tomorrow is another formal night?
  20. Our TA (good friends) purchased flowers for us in April and they were beautiful. They tried again in July and Nov with no luck as they were no longer available. April and July we were on EN and Nov we were on Jewel.
  21. WJ and Solarium Cafe will be open for lunch.
  22. We were slightly delayed between our b2b on Jewel in Nov. It was for 4 people. They took us off after waiting a bit and we had to stand in the terminal for about 20 minutes while they found them. Personally, I think they should charge per minute if they're not in line ready to get off within a few minutes of when the last groups are announced. It's not just other cruisers they're impacting. It's the CBP, terminal employees, crew, etc.
  23. Duh. It was all a joke. But there is a lot of data out there about seniors. You are very defensive about life in FL and in an area of seniors. Relax.
  24. I thought they had left but are coming back in the future after a lot of requests.
  25. I thought you had a sense of humor. You don't fit the original story. You are married. We're talking the widowed population there. My original statement had to do with that demographic.
