  1. I was on one this past May that I booked on Wednesday and it left on the following Monday - so 5 days or so.
  2. You'll have to check with the medical center or guest services for a medication refrigerator. I don't know about that. But otherwise that is how embarkation works at Charleston. As of two weeks ago it was fairly efficient actually, no real chokepoints and my wife and I were on the ship within 20 minutes of parking.
  3. Most of the homeports these days are enforcing arrival appointments during busy times. You will likely be stuck waiting in an early arrival line if you show up before your arrival appointment.
  4. I do think Sunshine will be the next ship to leave the fleet but I don't think it'll happen then. Whether or not she is drydocked before her next homeport assignment remains to be seen of course. I am hopeful that Carnival is in talks with a port near Charleston that can accommodate a ship her size that will open shortly after Charleston closes. The port is very convenient to me and many others.
  5. I used to love watching replays of the love and marriage show.
  6. You are charged an 18% gratuity when you purchase Cheers which covers the gratuities for your drinks. Tipping above and beyond is optional and not expected.
  7. You pick your arrival time during online check-in which is available 14 days before your cruise (or 16 days if you are platinum/diamond/suite guest). You arrive at the terminal during that window. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
  8. I can't speak for Canaveral but at busy times most ports these days are enforcing arrival times, unless you are in a Suite.
  9. With the way these COVID policies have been changing on a daily/weekly basis for months now, I don't see why y'all are having a conniption over something that will very likely change and that won't even be an issue for over two weeks.
  10. They could but historically Carnival seems to be happy to let their sister brands hold down the European market outside of a few specialty sailings.
  11. It doesn't mean rowdy as in you get a little loud when your number comes up on Roulette or they play your song in the disco. It means rowdy as in you start fighting at the hot tub (as happened a few weeks ago on Sunrise) or are so violent the Coast Guard has to escort the ship into port (as happened over the summer on Magic). Just like their $500 smoking in the room/balcony fine - having the policy is one thing, actually enforcing it is another.
  12. Yes it was - we're well past June baby...
  13. I imagine Carnival's website will be updated before you set sail.
  14. I did it years ago on Ecstasy and liked it. To me, the galley tour is an integral part of the experience and I would not do it without that portion. They stopped the galley tour due to COVID and IDK if they've reintroduced it. Even with the galley tour, my wife and I enjoyed Chef's Table on Ecstasy but neither of us really have a desire to do it again. I have heard from others that do it every cruise. Each to their own!
  15. Nobody here on this post is complaining that I can see.
  16. They won't do anything until they have to. Then they'll cancel ports and change itineraries as necessary. Cruise ships are not really designed to go through storms.
  17. A cruise vacation and a superstorm are a little different and come with different expectations I'd say.
  18. My guess is she may stay in Mobile for a few days to offload nonessential crew and any artifacts/equipment they want to save, then she'll begin the long journey to Aliaga.
  19. Wow I was on the Sunshine two weeks ago and they had fries.
  20. Good for you! Me, I’d rather have my TA’s weight in gold! 😜
  21. Yes all of my S&S cards have come pre-punched for years now.
  22. I am curious now, what artifacts do you have from Fantasy? I would have loved to have had something - anything - from the Cat's Lounge.
  23. I don't know how typical this is, but I noticed on the Sunshine they were selling coins that were made from brass hand rails removed from the original Mardi Gras. So I wouldn't be surprised if they take other artifacts off.
