  1. I don't want to overstate the issue, like I said Carnival ships aren't Omaha beach right now or anything like that. But they are having issues with unruly behavior and drugs that they seem to be unable to put a lid on. It is resulting in people getting assaulted, verbally and physically, which is unacceptable - especially on an expensive vacation.
  2. I agree. I refuse to play ostrich about this. We can pretend that we're still in 2020 and bacon is hard to get if that helps us cope with Carnival's bacon crisis. But when it comes to safety - nope. There are people on this board who are active members who have been assaulted - more than one - so it needs to be brought to light.
  3. You saying that doesn't make it true. Carnival ships aren't Omaha beach but it is no secret they're having huge issues with violence, drugs, and overall unruly behavior fleetwide. There's a new thread on here every week or so discussing someone's bad experience. Some of them are past Carnival "Cheerleaders". You don't have to believe me, but I hope that you take it seriously.
  4. Congratulations on your upcoming free steakhouse dinner and fanny pack!
  5. It's fair to want a prepackaged whitewashed resort style destination on vacation I suppose. Carnival and other lines work to provide that on their ships and proprietary ports of call. But Nassau is not that and never will be.
  6. The menus are pretty much the same fleet wide, just google Carnival menus and you'll find them.
  7. OP discussed fighting and communicated threats last week on Freedom, I relayed reports of the same this week on Celebration. That literally is week in and week out. Just because it isn't on Inside Edition every night doesn't mean it isn't happening all the time. It's on Tiktok all the time - and yes it happens on Royal and at your local Walmart etc too. But this is a Carnival forum so that's what we discuss here.
  8. Hey as long as we're going to diss kids who cruised as a 3rd or 4th guest, how about a new rule where adults who cruised for free or cheap using casino rates won't get VIFP points.
  9. Nice whataboutism. I'm sure it was discussed on the Royal forum.
  10. Regarding food - Carnival recently released new MDR menus which are getting good reviews. I haven't tried them yet. I am hopeful! Like you I was not happy with the food on my last Carnival cruise.
  11. shows will likely be the same so the show itself won't be any better - the singers and dancers may or may not be better.
  12. Don't give Carnival any more ideas of new things to charge for, please.
  13. On the flipside it's vacation and it's no fun for mom and dad to be separated from susie and betty at the water shuttle because they stayed home for a few cruises and aren't platinum yet.
  14. It is what it is. I guess it just doesn't bother me in the least. Each to their own.
  15. Carnival's food is the same fleetwide for the most part. If you google Carnival menus you'll find them. Lobster will be served on the second elegant night, when the second elegant night is depends on the length of your cruise.
  16. The stewards probably do have a limited number of mattress pads / egg crates. But not enough for everyone. I haven't sailed on Venezia but I've never had an issue with the mattresses on Carnival. Mattresses are really personal though.
  17. I feel like the "too many platinums and diamonds" is an issue that only exists here. Carnival doesn't have an issue with it that I can see. Carnival had an issue with getting the rooms ready at embarkation at their current staffing level, so they just ended that perk. Some years ago the past guest party was far too crowded so they stopped allowing Golds to attend. Simple. If Carnival has an issue with priority water shuttles for example, they'll end that perk too. And on down the line.
  18. It used to be in writing in the email that you received shortly before embarkation, maybe a week or less before the cruise starts. But I am not sure if it still is.
  19. If they cruised then they should get the points shouldn't they? Why does it matter who paid? And what's it to you anyway.
  20. And Oasis is a much larger vessel - which means much more space per passenger. Once a hallmark of Carnival ships (bigger rooms and more space per passenger) - Carnival gave that advantage to their biggest competitor.
  21. You can look at the ships position and see it is/was still in Cozumel hours after schedule. i don’t think we can link to other forms of social media? Yes referring to Reddit post.
  22. Hope you like smoking, reports are much of the Venezia smells like smoke because of the poor ventilation in the casino.
  23. Carnival Celebration currently being detained in Cozumel due to a brawl onboard. Week in and week out on "The Fun Ships"
  24. I agree, early cabin access even for drop and go is endangered.
