  1. There isn't a beach at Amber Cove, and the beach at Grand Turk doesn't have clamshells.
  2. I can't even fathom how an end user could utilize 96GB of RAM in a desktop. I already thought the 32 I put in my desktop was overkill and it mostly is.
  3. Don, What all do you use your PC for? If you don't need high level graphics I certainly wouldn't buy another gaming laptop. What I recommend for most everyday PC users is a Chromebook. Do you think a Chromebook would do all you need to do? If not, there are plenty of other choices in the marketplace obviously. Give us some details as to what you need your computer for and we'l make some recommendations.
  4. In my experience on my last few cruises the extra items were always bar items, sometimes even at bars I wasn't at. The roaming bar waiters collect folio #'s from patrons and type them into the computer all at once, they are in a hurry, mistakes happen. One cruise in particular the bar waiter rang up a 1.5L water bottle rather than the 0.5L bottle and didn't notice until it was already printed. Always keep a close eye on your folio, you can view your live folio on the Hub app or the kiosks or guest services can print a copy for you at any time. Any time I've had a discrepancy guest services has been more than happy to make the correction - or alert the bar manager to make the correction if it's something they couldn't fix.
  5. Always good to be diligent, I've had issues with having the wrong things charged to me several times on my recent cruises. Keep a close eye on your folio and don't be shy to call or visit guest services to get it corrected.
  6. have not! Would like to. Just hasn’t worked out for me to sail those ships so far.
  7. I like Sunshine a lot, I really dislike the Limelight lounge and the way Lido is set up however. They really should have gone back and tweaked those designs in successive drydocks. To me a Sunshine cruise over peak season is pretty much the definition of hell. I did it once and called the ship Sunlines - I got so tired of standing in lines and standing aside so a herd of people could pass by, etc. I will absolutely only sail those ships during shoulder season. Shoulder season they're great.
  8. I don't bake a lot 😉 it just seems that the baked-on cake would be hard to clean out but I guess it's no big deal for a good machine!
  9. Yes - the casino pays the gratuity. You are welcome to tip above and beyond if you wish!
  10. Gratuity is included, so tipping is not necessary. But yes, you are welcome to tip and you can do so either by adding the amount to the receipt you sign or handing over cash. Up to you!
  11. That's exactly how we were docked on Sunshine in 2022 when I was there. Stern-in.
  12. I will answer down the line from my perspective: Some "Fun Squads" are better than others - but on the whole, that is what sets Carnival apart. In the past, a crewmember that talked to a guest like you described would be escorted off the ship on the next port. Not anymore. I am not really sure why. I would only be speculating. Yes, Carnival "optimizes" their food service hours to save money. The cutbacks have gotten really bad and noticeably affect the cruise product in my opinion. Carnival needs to reverse many of them. But their ships are still sailing full so I doubt they will until they start to run shy of customers. I will say that you can get your 2 strips of bacon every day in the dining room for either port breakfast or seaday brunch.
  13. I imagine those ramekins are hell to clean...
  14. 1. Carnival no longer enforces a dress code. 2. Probably the piano bar 3. Many would say the best in the fleet. I haven't sailed every ship so I can't say, but it's easily the best of the ships I've sailed. 4. The ship will be full but probably not packed. 5. Have not tried so cannot comment. 6. Not on Carnival.
  15. And here I thought I was being slick when I came up with the "free upgrade" excuse. Haha
  16. Back in the beforetimes, the servers would routinely bring two lobster tails to folks who ordered lobster. Or at least, they would to me. Several times on different cruises.
  17. i confess i have done that with flights before. We got “upgraded” to exit row honey!
  18. I have fond memories of working with Antec cases in the early 00's. When is your next PC build considering you just got a laptop?
  19. Some travel agent sites allow you to search by specific date. And of course by calling a TA or PVP you can find cruises that fit your dates exactly.
  20. I assume no travel insurance was purchased?
  21. Thankfully, I haven't needed to edit the Registry in probably decades at this point. Other than the BIOS updates and BSODs I had for the first month or so, it's been rock-solid and stable since, running Windows 11. And the beQuiet components make the machine nice and quiet, even under heavy load. My old build was in a low-end NZXT case with no sound deadening and was annoyingly loud from day 1 - otherwise I would have kept that case and just upgraded the interior. Now that I'm happy with my case, I hope it'll last me for many years of upgrades.
  22. So basically either buy it for both cabins or neither cabin, since I can't imagine that y'all want to be separated during embarkation.
  23. I don't think they offer chicken nuggets in Chibang, but they do have a kids menu available.
  24. You'll know it was a good deal because by the time you decide to take the offer, it'll be gone. An upgrade being a good deal does not necessarily mean it is the right choice for you obviously.
  25. At first, everyone was allowed in the Havana area at certain hours then it switched over to be exclusive. That didn't last. If the Havana area is no longer exclusive then it really loses its reason for being and they might as well get rid of the little fences around it.
