  2. They dump your clothes into a sheer laundry bag and wash it in hot water along with everyone else's, and the same for drying. I remember one cruise I bought one of the sale T-shirts and had it washed (I cannot stand my clothes to smell like stale smoke). When it came back the graphic was already starting to peel off. Cheap shirt, life goes on. I love using the service to wash my cruise clothes midway through the cruise, or near the end so I have less to wash when I get home.
  3. What do you mean smoking side? This isn't like in the old days when you could smoke in half of the main lounge. The only indoor smoking area is a portion of the Casino, and only when actively playing...There is a small smoking area outside on deck 3 near the guest services desk.

  5. You can smoke all the cigars you want at the open deck smoking area. There are roaming bar waiters in that area and always people there to shoot the breeze with https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3490/~/locations-where-you-can-smoke
  6. only tobacco cigarettes indoors. Tobacco Cigars including little cigars and cigarillos outdoors only.
  7. For good or bad they still allow smoking in the casino, it's just that as Rudyard said they added a non-smoking casino annex to the ships during the restart.
  8. Everything on these ships has a replacement/maintenance schedule. I'm sure they don't have the shoreside or shipboard crew to coordinate replacing the networking equipment on all their ships at once, so it has to be staggered. It might seem random but I am sure there is a reason as to why the Panorama and Elation got the upgrade already but not the Radiance or Horizon as an example.

  10. If there are bed bugs in the room where you store your luggage isn't going to make a huge difference.
  11. Yeah that seems to always be how craps worked out for me when I played so I never even look at that table's direction anymore.
  12. I have not heard of any widespread infestations. I'm sure every few cruises somebody brings bed bugs onboard a Carnival ship. They're equipped to deal with it as it comes up.
  13. It's just a math thing, will you come out ahead with Cheers, or would you prefer to pre-pay for your alcohol and not have to worry about paying per drink. If the answer to those questions is yes then buy it...
  14. You're hard pressed to find meat with a bone in it on Carnival for one thing. What does that have to do with Carnival?
  15. Well, Carnival allows Netflix with the premium plan - whether or not it will actually work is another matter.
  16. Nobody cares that you personally wouldn't be caught dead without your passport. Nobody cares about your penchant for international flight. The question was, is a passport required for this particular cruise. For some reason OP is unable to go to Carnival.com and find the answer for themselves. The question has been answered to their satisfaction I trust. I am always afraid that people will ask questions here and get misinformation and then watch the ship sail away from the pier. I'm sure it's happened. I see questions like this on here and on cruise groups on social media all the time, littered with misinformation from people just trying to be helpful. Maybe one day people will actually go to the source for questions like this. But I guess the problem with that is it takes effort on their part.
  17. One of the shows will be Latin Nights. I don't remember the other, I think it's Epic Rock but that's just a guess. John Heald usually posts the movies near the first of every month on his page they'll be showing but there's no way of knowing what specific movies and when they'll be playing during your cruise until you get onboard.
  18. Disney hasn't made any announcements, I don't think wifi is really a priority of theirs. You will never have "reliable" internet at sea, even on a ship with Starlink. Starlink is the least bad, by far.
  19. Make fun for yourself, stop worrying about others behavior that you can't control. If you really want one of the ships on a stick, buy it on eBay or beat the cheaters at their own game.
  20. It's an intersection of the cost of the cruise, the home port, time of year, and length of the cruise. I think we're overdue for another Christine Duffy "we take this seriously" open letter. I think we're up to 3 now..surely the 4th will fix the problem right?
  21. I've never had trouble getting whatever port arrival appointment I want with Carnival. Even before I had priority I could check in on mid-morning day 14 and be fine. The only time I had limited choice was when I booked a last minute cruise 5 days out, but I wasn't planning on getting to the port until closer to 1PM for that cruise anyway so it wasn't a big deal.
  22. It was created in response to the Triumph and suspended during COVID restart, not reinstated afterwards. Right now Carnival is selling every room they have available, when/if they have another disaster like the Triumph or Concordia then they may reinstate the guarantee.
  23. I didn't say it was impossible. Reading is fundamental.
  24. The obvious question is who sponsored this article. Everything on the web is paid for by somebody, my guess is Carnival paid for this article. Follow the money and you'll be led to the truth every time.
